Journal ArticleDOI

Prognostic implications of cytogenetic studies in an intensively treated group of children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

TL;DR: The absence of karyotypic prognostic significance was observed not only within the overall group, but also when the results were stratified by standard-risk and high-risk status and of the specific structural chromosome changes that the authors studied, only the Philadelphia chromosome appeared to confer a poor prognosis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Preclinical activity of selinexor, an inhibitor of XPO1, in sarcoma.

TL;DR: The results indicate that selinexor has potent in vitro and in vivo activity against a wide variety of sarcoma models by inducing G1-arrest independent of known molecular mechanisms in GIST and LPS.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanism of association between BMI and dysfunction of the gastro-oesophageal barrier in patients with normal endoscopy

TL;DR: The association between reflux and BMI may be largely explained by effects of increased intra-abdominal pressure, however, the reduced LOS pressure associated with BMI might be mediated by another mechanism or effects of chronic rather than acute elevation of intra-ABdominal Pressure.
