Journal ArticleDOI

Accurate identification of centromere locations in yeast genomes using Hi-C

TL;DR: A method is described, Centurion, that jointly infers the locations of all centromeres in a single genome from Hi-C data by exploiting the centromres’ tendency to cluster in three-dimensional space and is shown to be robust in datasets with low sequencing depth.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Rhododendron Genome and Chromosomal Organization Provide Insight into Shared Whole-Genome Duplications across the Heath Family (Ericaceae)

TL;DR: The chromosome-scale de novo assembly and genome annotation of Rhododendron williamsianum is reported as a basis for continued study of this large genus of >1,000 species and finds evidence for two shared, ancient WGDs in Rhododendedron and Vaccinium members that predate the Ericaceae family and, in one case, the Ericales order.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simultaneous digital quantification and fluorescence-based size characterization of massively parallel sequencing libraries.

TL;DR: This work proposes and test an alternative method for quality control of sequencing libraries using droplet digital PCR (ddPCR), and achieves the joint quantification and size determination of target DNA with a single ddPCR assay.
