Investigation of serum proteome alterations in human glioblastoma multiforme
Kishore Gollapalli,Sandipan Ray,Rajneesh Srivastava,Durairaj Renu,Prateek Singh,Snigdha Dhali,Jyoti Bajpai Dikshit,Rapole Srikanth,Aliasgar Moiyadi,Sanjeeva Srivastava +9 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the alterations in the serum proteome in GBM patients compared to healthy controls revealed 55 differentially expressed and statistically significant protein spots, which revealed the association of candidate proteins in a few essential physiological pathways such as intrinsic prothrombin activation pathway, plasminogen activating cascade, coagulation system, glioma invasiveness signaling, and PI3K signaling in B lymphocytes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gene Expression Profiling of Gastric Cancer.
Arivusudar Marimuthu,Harrys K.C. Jacob,Aniruddha Jakharia,Yashwanth Subbannayya,Shivakumar Keerthikumar,Manoj Kumar Kashyap,Renu Goel,Lavanya Balakrishnan,Sutopa B. Dwivedi,Swapnali Pathare,Jyoti Bajpai Dikshit,Jagadeesha Maharudraiah,S. Singh,Ghantasala S. Sameer Kumar,M. Vijayakumar,Kariyanakatte Veeraiah Veerendra Kumar,Chennagiri Shrinivasamurthy Premalatha,Pramila Tata,Ramesh Hariharan,Juan Carlos Roa,Thottethodi Subrahmanya Keshava Prasad,Raghothama Chaerkady,Rekha V. Kumar,Akhilesh Pandey +23 more
TL;DR: In this article, a genomewide gene expression analysis was carried out to identify differentially expressed genes in gastric adenocarcinoma tissues as compared to adjacent normal tissues.
Journal ArticleDOI
Proteomic investigation of falciparum and vivax malaria for identification of surrogate protein markers.
Sandipan Ray,Durairaj Renu,Rajneesh Srivastava,Kishore Gollapalli,Santosh R Taur,Tulip Jhaveri,Snigdha Dhali,Srinivasarao Chennareddy,Ankit Potla,Jyoti Bajpai Dikshit,Rapole Srikanth,Nithya J Gogtay,Urmila M Thatte,Swati Patankar,Sanjeeva Srivastava +14 more
TL;DR: The discrimination of FM, VM, FC and HC groups on the basis of differentially expressed serum proteins demonstrates the potential of this analytical approach for the detection of malaria as well as other human diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transcriptomic Profiling of Medial Temporal Lobe Epilepsy
Abhilash K. Venugopal,Abhilash K. Venugopal,Ghantasala S. Sameer Kumar,Anita Mahadevan,Lakshmi Dhevi N. Selvan,Arivusudar Marimuthu,Jyoti Bajpai Dikshit,Pramila Tata,Y. L. Ramachandra,Raghothama Chaerkady,Raghothama Chaerkady,Sanjib Sinha,BA Chandramouli,A Arivazhagan,Parthasarathy Satishchandra,S K Shankar,Akhilesh Pandey +16 more
TL;DR: To identify potential biomarkers of epileptogenicity, the mRNA profiles of surgically resected tissue from seizure zones with non-seizure zones from cases of intractable MTLE were compared and 413 genes that exhibited ≥2-fold change were identified that were statistically significant across these two groups.
Journal ArticleDOI
Gene expression profiling of tuberculous meningitis co-infected with HIV
Ghantasala S. Sameer Kumar,A. K. Venugopal,Manoj Kumar Kashyap,Rajesh Raju,Arivusudar Marimuthu,Shyam Mohan Palapetta,Y. Subbanayya,Renu Goel,A. Chawla,Jyoti Bajpai Dikshit,Pramila Tata,H. C. Harsha,Jagadeesha Maharudraiah,Y. L. Ramachandra,Parthasarthy Satishchandra,T. S. K. Prasad,Akhilesh Pandey,Anita Mahadevan,S K Shankar +18 more
TL;DR: This study reports the identification of 796 differentially regulated genes in brain tissues of TBM patients co-infected with HIV using oligonucleotide DNA microarrays and performs immunohistochemical validation and confirmed the abundance of four gene products.
