Supra-Binary Polarization in a Ferroelectric Nanowire.

TL;DR: In this paper, the prediction and observation of supra-binary polarization in a ferroelectric nanowire (FNW) covered with a semicylindrical gate that provides an anisotropic electric field in the FNW are reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Tuning Molecular Self‐Assembly Toward Intriguing Nanomaterial Architectures

TL;DR: The growth mechanism of CHQ nanostructures is proposed based on thermodynamic and kinetic model studies and theoretical simulations and provides a route to shape-engineering of new nanomaterials.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antiferromagnetic spin ordering in the dissociative adsorption of H2 on Si(001): Density-functional calculations

TL;DR: A new ground state is proposed where the two single dangling bonds created by H(2) dissociation are antiferromagnetically coupled with each other, and such a spin ordering is found to be energetically favored over the previously proposed charge ordering.
Journal ArticleDOI

Sulfur-vacancy-dependent geometric and electronic structure of bismuth adsorbed on Mo S 2

TL;DR: In this paper, the density of the sulfur vacancy is found to be a critical parameter for the growth of the crystalline Bi overlayer or cluster at room temperature, and the van der Waals interface of Bi and the band structure is significantly modified near \ensuremath{\Gamma} due to the orbital hybridization with an adsorbed Bi monolayer.
