TL;DR: Cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy in the management of peritoneal surface malignancies of colonic origin : a consensus statement.
Journal ArticleDOI
Isolated portal vein involvement in pancreatic adenocarcinoma. A contraindication for resection
TL;DR: The results suggest that suspected isolated portal vein involvement should not be a contraindication for pancreatic resection in patients with adenocarcinoma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Partial Hepatectomy for Metastases From Noncolorectal, Nonneuroendocrine Carcinoma
Jürgen Weitz,Leslie H. Blumgart,Yuman Fong,William R. Jarnagin,Michael I. D’Angelica,Lawrence E. Harrison,Ronald P. DeMatteo +6 more
TL;DR: Hepatic resection for metastases from NCNN carcinoma is safe and can offer long-term survival in selected patients and primary tumor type and length of disease-free interval from the primary tumor were significant independent prognostic factors for relapse-free and cancer-specific survival.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hepatic resection for noncolorectal, nonneuroendocrine metastases: A fifteen-year experience with ninety-six patients
Lawrence E. Harrison,Murray F. Brennan,Elliot Newman,Joseph G. Fortner,Anthony Picardo,Leslie H. Blumgart,Yuman Fong +6 more
TL;DR: Primary tumor type, disease-free interval, and curative resection predict those patients who benefit from hepatic resection, and primary tumor group were predictors of a significantly better survival by multivariate analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Salti,Armando Sardi,Perry Shen,Joseph J. Skitzki,J. Spellman,John H. Stewart,Jesus Esquivel +42 more
TL;DR: This recommendation on a standardized delivery of HIPEC in patients with colorectal cancer represents an important first step in enhancing research in this field and studies directed at maximizing the efficacy of each of the key elements will need to follow.
