Micro-scratch behavior of WC particle-reinforced copper matrix composites
TL;DR: In this paper, a WC particle-reinforced copper matrix composites with WC content in the range of 5 vol% to 30% were prepared and investigated by micro-scratch tests under the loads of 1-4 N. The hardness and scratch resistance of the composites are greatly improved by the addition of WC.
Posted ContentDOI
What is required to prevent a second major outbreak of the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 upon lifting the metropolitan-wide quarantine of Wuhan city, China
Lei Zhang,Mingwang Shen,Xiaomeng Ma,Shu Su,Wenfeng Gong,Jing Wang,Yusha Tao,Zhuoru Zou,Rui Zhao,Joseph Lau,Wei Li,Feng Liu,Kai Ye,Youfa Wang,Guihua Zhuang,Christopher K Fairley,Christopher K Fairley +16 more
TL;DR: The prevention of a second epidemic is viable after the metropolitan-wide quarantine is lifted but requires a sustaining high facial mask usage and a low public contact rate.
Journal ArticleDOI
HIV testing in re-education through labour camps in Guangxi Autonomous Region, China (a cross-sectional survey)
Lorraine Yap,Joanne Reekie,Wei Liu,Yi Chen,Zunyou Wu,Jianghong Li,Lei Zhang,Handan Wand,Basil Donovan,Tony Butler +9 more
TL;DR: HIV test results should be disclosed to all labour camp detainees to reduce their distress of not knowing and prevent misconceptions about their HIV status, and to prevent the spread of HIV.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of sintering temperature on magneto-transport properties of La0.67Ba0.33MnO3 /Ba0.7Sr0.3TiO3 composites
TL;DR: In this article, the magneto-transport properties of sintered composite samples have been investigated and a dome-like resistance peak appears at a temperature well below the Curie temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simultaneous generation of tunable giant dispersive waves in the visible and mid-infrared regions based on photonic crystal fibers
TL;DR: Cherenkov radiation in both the visible and mid-infrared regions is simultaneously generated experimentally based on a photonic crystal fiber with two zero-dispersion wavelengths in this paper.
