Journal ArticleDOI

Does thyroid peroxidase provide an antigenic link between thyroid autoimmunity and breast cancer

TL;DR: TPO is weakly expressed in BC and other tissues; this could partly explain the high frequency and protective role of TPOAb in BC patients and further studies will investigate tissue specificity, function and immunogenicity of the novel TPO variants identified.

Engineering TATA-binding protein Spt15 to improve ethanol tolerance and production in Kluyveromyces marxianus.

TL;DR: This work demonstrates that ethanol tolerance of K. marxianus can be improved by engineering its TATA-binding protein Spt15, which is able to bring differential expression of hundreds of genes that acted as an interconnected network for the phenotype of ethanol tolerance.
