TL;DR: The MiSeq platform is a powerful tool for tracing HIV transmissions and intrapersonal evolution and a phylogenetic study suggested a likely genetic bottleneck for HIV in homosexual transmission from T3 to T2, while T1 inherited the majority of variants from T2.
