Journal ArticleDOI

Neutralizing antibodies against adeno-associated virus examined prospectively in pediatric patients with hemophilia.

TL;DR: The results may guide rational design of clinical trials using alternative AAV serotypes and suggest that younger patients who are given AAV gene therapy will benefit from the lower prevalence of NAbs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lupus anticoagulant and protein S deficiency in children with postvaricella purpura fulminans or thrombosis

TL;DR: A subset of children with varicella infection, some of whom are coinfected with streptococcus, are prone to development of a lupus anticoagulant and an autoantibody to protein S, which results in acquired free protein S deficiency, and are at risk of having life-threatening thrombotic events.
Journal ArticleDOI

A new euglobulin clot lysis assay for global fibrinolysis.

TL;DR: It cannot be said that any of the test parameters are better than lysis time in distinguishing between these normal physiologic states; the most significant contributor is fibrinogen.
Journal ArticleDOI

The varicella-autoantibody syndrome.

TL;DR: Transient antiphospholipid and coagulation protein autoantibodies were common with VZV infection, but were not predictive of thrombotic complications.
