Synergic estimation of columnar integrated aerosol properties and their vertical resolved profiles in respect to the scenarios of dust intrusions over Granada
Florian Mandija,Juan Luis Guerrero-Rascado,Hassan Lyamani,María José Granados-Muñoz,Lucas Alados-Arboledas +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, columnar and vertically resolved aerosol optical properties over Granada (Spain) during dust events detected during July-August in the period 2012-2013 were analyzed.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
EARLINET correlative measurements for CALIPSO
Ina Mattis,Lucia Mona,Detlef Müller,Gelsomina Pappalardo,Lucas Alados-Arboledas,Giuseppe D'Amico,Aldo Amodeo,Arnoud Apituley,José María Baldasano,Christine Böckmann,Jens Bösenberg,Anatoli Chaikovsky,Adolfo Comerón,Elina Giannakaki,Ivan Grigorov,Juan Luis Guerrero Rascado,Ove Gustafsson,Marco Iarlori,Holger Linné,Valentin Mitev,Francisco Molero Menéndez,Doina Nicolae,Alexandros Papayannis,Carlos Pérez García-Pando,Maria Rita Perrone,Aleksander Pietruczuk,Jean-Philippe Putaud,François Ravetta,Alejandro W. Rodriguez,Patric Seifert,Michaël Sicard,Valentin Simeonov,Piotr Sobolewski,Nicola Spinelli,Kerstin Stebel,Andreas Stohl,Matthias Tesche,Thomas Trickl,Xuan Wang,Matthias Wiegner +39 more
TL;DR: The European Aerosol Research Lidar Network (EARLINET) as mentioned in this paper consists of 25 stations: 16 Raman lidar stations, including 8 multi-wavelength Raman LIDAR stations which are used to retrieve aerosol microphysical properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
Performance of global to direct/diffuse decomposition models before and after the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo, June 1991
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of volcanic aerosols on the performance of some well-known empirical models, using a data set including different radiometric and meteorological variables, was addressed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Contribution to column-integrated aerosol typing based on Sun-photometry using different criteria
I. Foyo-Moreno,I. Alados,Juan Luis Guerrero-Rascado,Hassan Lyamani,Daniel Pérez-Ramírez,F.J. Olmo,Lucas Alados-Arboledas +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the aerosol optical and microphysical properties obtained by the Aerosol Robotic Network (AERONET) in seven different sites operating in the Iberian Peninsula during three coincident years (2010−2012) with the objective of studying different aerosol typing approaches.
Posted ContentDOI
Experimental assessment of the lidar polarizing sensitivity
Livio Belegante,Juan Antonio Bravo-Aranda,Volker Freudenthaler,Doina Nicolae,Anca Nemuc,Lucas Alados-Arboledas,Aldo Amodeo,Gelsomina Pappalardo,Giuseppe D'Amico,Ronny Engelmann,Holger Baars,Ulla Wandinger,Alexandros Papayannis,P. Kokkalis,Sergio Pereira +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, an extended analysis of different depolarization calibration procedures, in order to reduce the related uncertainties, is presented, and the results illustrate a significant improvement of the depolarisation lidar products for all the selected lidar stations.
