Journal ArticleDOI

Lipidic phase membrane protein serial femtosecond crystallography

TL;DR: Interpretable diffraction data is recorded from micrometer-sized lipidic sponge phase crystals of the Blastochloris viridis photosynthetic reaction center delivered into an X-FEL beam using a sponge phase micro-jet.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure-factor analysis of femtosecond microdiffraction patterns from protein nanocrystals.

TL;DR: A complete set of structure factors has been extracted from hundreds of thousands of femtosecond single-shot X-ray microdiffraction patterns taken from randomly oriented nanocrystals, and the method of Monte Carlo integration over crystallite size and orientation was applied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Unsupervised classification of single-particle X-ray diffraction snapshots by spectral clustering

TL;DR: This work presents an unsupervised method able to sort experimental snapshots without recourse to templates, specific noise models, or user-directed learning and shows 90% agreement with manual classification.
