An improvement of the BeppoSAX LECS and MECS positioning accuracy

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a study of the source positioning accuracy of the LECS and MECS instruments on-board BeppoSAX, which is due to a residual misalignment of the two instruments with respect to the spacecraft Z axis arising from the presence of attitude inaccuracies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evidence for an anticorrelation between the duration of the shallow decay phase of GRB X-ray afterglows and redshift

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed all the Swift/XRT afterglows at known redshift observed between March 2005 and June 2008 and found an anticorrelation between the energy of the burst and the shallow phase duration, with r=-0.80 and a null hypothesis probability of 1.8%.
Proceedings ArticleDOI

Polarization studies with NuSTAR

TL;DR: In this paper, the NuSTAR mission has been used to confirm the findings of INTEGRAL on the polarization of cosmic sources in the hard X-rays in the Compton scattering regime (>50 keV).
Journal ArticleDOI

GRB 050410 and GRB 050412: are they really dark GRBs?

TL;DR: In this article, a detailed analysis of the prompt and afterglow emission of GRB 050410 and GRB050412 detected by Swift for which no optical counterpart was observed.
