Journal ArticleDOI
An improvement of the BeppoSAX LECS and MECS positioning accuracy
M. Perri,Milvia Capalbi +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a study of the source positioning accuracy of the LECS and MECS instruments on-board BeppoSAX, which is due to a residual misalignment of the two instruments with respect to the spacecraft Z axis arising from the presence of attitude inaccuracies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evidence for an anticorrelation between the duration of the shallow decay phase of GRB X-ray afterglows and redshift
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyzed all the Swift/XRT afterglows at known redshift observed between March 2005 and June 2008 and found an anticorrelation between the energy of the burst and the shallow phase duration, with r=-0.80 and a null hypothesis probability of 1.8%.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Polarization studies with NuSTAR
Simone Lotti,Lorenzo Natalucci,Paolo Giommi,Brian W. Grefenstette,Fiona A. Harrison,Kristin K. Madsen,M. Perri,Simonetta Puccetti,Andreas Zoglauer +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the NuSTAR mission has been used to confirm the findings of INTEGRAL on the polarization of cosmic sources in the hard X-rays in the Compton scattering regime (>50 keV).
Journal ArticleDOI
GRB 050410 and GRB 050412: are they really dark GRBs?
Teresa Mineo,V. Mangano,Stefano Covino,G. Cusumano,V. La Parola,E. Troja,P. W. A. Roming,David N. Burrows,Sergio Campana,M. Capalbi,G. Chincarini,N. Gehrels,P. Giommi,Joanne E. Hill,F. E. Marshall,A. Moretti,P. T. O'Brien,M. J. Page,M. Perri,P. Romano,B. Sbarufatti,G. Sato,G. Tagliaferri +22 more
TL;DR: In this article, a detailed analysis of the prompt and afterglow emission of GRB 050410 and GRB050412 detected by Swift for which no optical counterpart was observed.
Journal ArticleDOI
X-ray emission of Seyfert 2 galaxy MCG-01-24-12
R. Middei,R. Middei,G. A. Matzeu,G. A. Matzeu,Stefano Bianchi,V. Braito,J. N. Reeves,A. de Rosa,Mauro Dadina,A. Marinucci,M. Perri,M. Perri,A. Zaino +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, a detailed X-ray spectral analysis of the nearby Seyfert 2 galaxy MCG-01-24-12 based on a multi-epoch data set was presented.
