A complete sample of bright Swift Gamma-Ray Bursts: X-ray afterglow luminosity and its correlation with the prompt emission

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigate whether there is any correlation between the X-ray afterglow luminosity and the prompt emission properties of a carefully selected sub-sample of bright Swift long Gamma-Ray Bursts nearly complete in redshift (~90%).
Journal ArticleDOI

A Search for QPOs in the Blazar OJ287: Preliminary Results from the 2015/2016 Observing Campaign

Stanisław Zoła, +97 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors analyse the light curve in the R band of the blazar OJ287, gathered during the 2015/2016 observing season, and search for quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) using several methods over a wide range of timescales.
Journal ArticleDOI

Polarized x-rays constrain the disk-jet geometry in the black hole x-ray binary Cygnus X-1

Henric Krawczynski, +113 more
- 20 Jun 2022 -
TL;DR: In this article , a polarimetric observation of the X-ray binary Cygnus X-1 using the Imaging Xray Polarimetry Explorer (IXPEL) was performed, showing that hot x-ray emitting plasma is spatially extended in a plane perpendicular to, not parallel to, the jet axis.
