Journal ArticleDOI

GRB 060714: No Clear Dividing Line Between Prompt Emission and X-ray Flares

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the gamma-ray burst GRB 060714 cannot be the result of internal shocks in which the contrast in the Lorentz factor of the colliding shells is very small, and that this mechanism faces serious difficulties in most Swift GRBs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Design, construction, and test of the Gas Pixel Detectors for the IXPE mission

Luca Baldini, +100 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the design, manufacturing, and test of the IXPE focal plane detectors are reviewed, with particular emphasis on the connection between the science drivers, the performance metrics and the operational aspects, and a thorough characterization of the GPDs in terms of effective noise, trigger efficiency, dead time, uniformity of response, and spectral and polarimetric performance.
Journal ArticleDOI

2SXPS: An improved and expanded Swift X-ray telescope point source catalog

TL;DR: The 2SXPS (Swift-XRT Point Source) catalog as discussed by the authors contains 206,335 point sources detected by the Swift X-ray Telescope (XRT) in the 0.3 -10 keV energy range.
Journal ArticleDOI

Radioactive synovectomy with Yttrium⁹⁰ citrate in haemophilic synovitis: Brazilian experience.

TL;DR: It is concluded that RS with C‐Y90 represents an important resource for the treatment of chronic haemophilic synovitis, markedly reducing joint bleeding frequency and pain, irrespective of the radiographic stage and inhibitor status.
