Journal ArticleDOI

Tumor angiogenesis and biologic markers in resected stage I NSCLC.

TL;DR: The present study corroborates the role of angiogenesis in the metastatic spread of NSCLC and emphasizes its value in the identification of patients in whom surgery should be supplemented by systemic treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interleukin-8 in non-small cell lung carcinoma: Relation with angiogenic pattern and p53 alterations

TL;DR: A correlation between IL-8 mRNA expression, intratumoral MVC and VEGF mRNA expression levels is observed; furthermore, an aberrant p53 status was related toIL-8 expression; however, in the authors' samples IL- 8 levels did not significantly affect prognosis of NSCLC; more studies are required to elucidate the precise role of IL-7 in a large series of patients with non-small cell lung carcinoma.
Journal ArticleDOI

Surgical Treatment of Recurrent Thymomas

TL;DR: It is concluded that reoperation for thymoma recurrences is feasible and relatively safe, and it should always be considered because the other treatment modalities are not curative.
Journal ArticleDOI

Surgical treatment of recurrent thymoma: is it worthwhile?

TL;DR: Reoperation for recurrent thymoma is effective and safe, achieving a prolonged survival and completeness of resection and single recurrence are associated with better prognosis.
