Journal ArticleDOI
Caffeine and high intensity exercise: Impact on purinergic and cholinergic signalling in lymphocytes and on cytokine levels.
Juliano Marchi Vieira,Jessié Martins Gutierres,Fabiano B. Carvalho,Naiara Stefanello,Lizielle Souza de Oliveira,Andréia Machado Cardoso,Vera Maria Morsch,Micheli M. Pillat,Henning Ulrich,Marta Maria Medeiros Frescura Duarte,Maria Rosa Chitolina Schetinger,Roselia Maria Spanevello +11 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that caffeine ingestion attenuates, as least in part, the immune and inflammatory alterations following a prolonged HIIT protocol.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of 9-amino-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroacridine (THA) on ATP diphosphohydrolase (EC 3.6.1.5) and 5'-nucleotidase (EC 3.1.3.5) from rat brain synaptosomes.
Carla Denise Bonan,Ana Maria Oliveira Battastini,Maria Rosa Chitolina Schetinger,Cleci Menezes Moreira,Silvana Soriano Frassetto,Renato Dutra Dias,João José Freitas Sarkis +6 more
TL;DR: 9-Amino-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroacridine, proposed as a drug for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, can alter in vitro ATP degradation in synaptosomes from the central nervous system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Activity and expression of E-NTPDase is altered in peripheral lymphocytes of systemic lupus erythematosus patients.
Lara Vargas Becker,Renata da Silva Pereira Saccol,Vera Maria Morsch,Daniela B.R. Leal,Emerson André Casali,Nina Gabriela Müller Lopes,Valesca Veiga Cardoso,Maria Rosa Chitolina Schetinger +7 more
TL;DR: E-NTPDase and E-ADA perform key functions in the modulation of the immune and inflammatory response in SLE.
Journal ArticleDOI
Presence of multiple acid phosphatases activity in seedlings of cucumber, radish and rocket salad
Luciane Almeri Tabaldi,Raquel Ruppenthal,Luciane Belmonte Pereira,Denise Cargnelutti,Jamile F. Gonçalves,Vera Maria Morsch,Maria Rosa Chitolina Schetinger +6 more
TL;DR: The results demonstrate that the enzyme investigated in this study is different from well known ester phosphate cleaving plant enzymes (apyrase and inorganic pyrophosphatases) and this preparation could be a useful tool to future toxicological studies and to study initially all isoforms of acid phosphatase.
Journal ArticleDOI
Neospora caninum: Activity of cholinesterases during the acute and chronic phases of an experimental infection in gerbils
Alexandre A. Tonin,Aleksandro S. Da Silva,Gustavo R. Thomé,Lizielle Souza de Oliveira,Maria Rosa Chitolina Schetinger,Vera Maria Morsch,Mariana M. Flores,Rafael A. Fighera,Gustavo Toscan,Fernanda Silveira Flores Vogel,Sonia Terezinha dos Anjos Lopes +10 more
TL;DR: It was possible to observe a response of the cholinergic system, providing different grades of AChE and BChE activities, in response to the acute and chronic infection of gerbils experimentally infected with N. caninum.
