Lead halide perovskite nanowire lasers with low lasing thresholds and high quality factors
Haiming Zhu,Yongping Fu,Fei Meng,Xiaoxi Wu,Zizhou Gong,Qi Ding,Martin V. Gustafsson,M. Tuan Trinh,Song Jin,Xiaoyang Zhu +9 more
TL;DR: Lasing performance, coupled with the facile solution growth of single-crystal nanowires and the broad stoichiometry-dependent tunability of emission colour, makes lead halide perovskites ideal materials for the development of nanophotonics, in parallel with the rapid development in photovoltaics from the same materials.
Journal ArticleDOI
Propagating phonons coupled to an artificial atom
Martin V. Gustafsson,Martin V. Gustafsson,Thomas Aref,Anton Frisk Kockum,Maria K. Ekström,Göran Johansson,Per Delsing +6 more
TL;DR: This work couple propagating phonons to an artificial atom in the quantum regime and reproduce findings from quantum optics, with sound taking over the role of light.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of Quantum Interconnects (QuICs) for Next-Generation Information Technologies
David D. Awschalom,Karl K. Berggren,Hannes Bernien,Sunil A. Bhave,Lincoln D. Carr,Paul Davids,Sophia E. Economou,Dirk Englund,Andrei Faraon,Martin M. Fejer,Saikat Guha,Martin V. Gustafsson,Evelyn L. Hu,Liang Jiang,Jungsang Kim,Boris Korzh,Prem Kumar,Paul G. Kwiat,Marko Loncar,Mikhail D. Lukin,David A. B. Miller,Christopher Monroe,Sae Woo Nam,Prineha Narang,Jason S. Orcutt,Michael G. Raymer,Amir H. Safavi-Naeini,Maria Spiropulu,Kartik Srinivasan,Kartik Srinivasan,Shuo Sun,Shuo Sun,Jelena Vuckovic,Edo Waks,Ronald L. Walsworth,Ronald L. Walsworth,Andrew M. Weiner,Zheshen Zhang +37 more
TL;DR: It is the position of the community represented by participants of the NSF workshop on Quantum Interconnects that accelerating QuIC research is crucial for sustained development of a national quantum science and technology program.
Journal ArticleDOI
Local probing of propagating acoustic waves in a gigahertz echo chamber
TL;DR: In this article, a piezoelectrically coupled single-electron transistor was used to track pulses echoing back and forth in a long acoustic cavity, self-interfering and ringing the cavity up and down.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ambipolar Landau levels and strong band-selective carrier interactions in monolayer WSe2.
Martin V. Gustafsson,Matthew Yankowitz,Carlos Forsythe,Daniel Rhodes,Kenji Watanabe,Takashi Taniguchi,James Hone,Xiaoyang Zhu,Cory Dean +8 more
TL;DR: The Zeeman splitting in the VB is several times higher than the cyclotron energy, far exceeding the predictions of a single-particle model and, moreover, tunes significantly with doping, suggesting that ML WSe2 can serve as a host for new correlated-electron phenomena.
