Cisplatin Induces the Proapoptotic Conformation of Bak in a ΔMEKK1-Dependent Manner

TL;DR: Bak is identified as a cisplatin-regulated component downstream in a proapoptotic, JNK-independent ΔMEKK1 pathway and it is shown that reduction of Bak expression by antisense Bak reduced cisPlatin-induced loss of mitochondrial integrity and caspase cleavage activity in breast cancer cell lines.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: Extended intermittent use of adjuvant letrozole in postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive, lymph node- positive, and operable breast cancer for which they had undergone local treatment and had completed 4-6 years of adjUvant endocrine therapy is hypothesised to improve breast cancer outcome compared with continuous use of letroZole.

Circulating cell-free DNA-based epigenetic assay can detect early breast cancer

TL;DR: The authors' epigenetic-marker-based system distinguished BC patients from HVs with high accuracy, and as detection of early BC using this system was comparable with that of mammography screening, this system would be beneficial as an optional method of screening for BC.
