Early breast cancer
Tomoyoshi Suzuki,Masakazu Toi,Shigehira Saji,Kazumi Horiguchi,Tomoyuki Aruga,Eiji Suzuki,Shinichiro Horiguchi,Nobuaki Funata,Katsuyuki Karasawa,Noriko Kamata +9 more
TL;DR: New knowledge about early breast cancer obtained during the past 5 years is reviewed, finding examination by mammography and ultrasonography is still the most effective means of detection for premenopausal and postmenopausal women, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Targeting Phosphorylation of Y-Box-Binding Protein YBX1 by TAS0612 and Everolimus in Overcoming Antiestrogen Resistance.
Tomohiro Shibata,Kosuke Watari,Akihiko Kawahara,Tomoya Sudo,Satoshi Hattori,Yuichi Murakami,Hiroto Izumi,Junji Itou,Masakazu Toi,Jun Akiba,Yoshito Akagi,Maki Tanaka,Michihiko Kuwano,Mayumi Ono +13 more
TL;DR: It is found that increased expression of pYBX1 was accompanied by acquired resistance to antiestrogens, fulvestrant and tamoxifen, and treatment with everolimus or TAS0612, a novel multikinase inhibitor of AKT, p70S6K, and p90RSK, suppressed YBx1 phosphorylation and overcame antiestrogen resistance in vitro and in vivo.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preoperative vascular mapping for anterolateral thigh flap surgeries: A clinical trial of photoacoustic tomography imaging.
Itaru Tsuge,Susumu Saito,Goshiro Yamamoto,Hiroyuki Sekiguchi,Aya Yoshikawa,Yoshiaki Matsumoto,Shigehiko Suzuki,Masakazu Toi +7 more
TL;DR: Evaluation of the correlation between PAT and US findings showed that PAT had comparable diagnostic potential but was superior in visualizing subcutaneous microvessels; however, there was no comparison with intraoperative findings.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development and clinical translation of photoacoustic mammography
TL;DR: Clinical evaluation using a developed prototype of a photoacoustic mammography (PAM) device confirmed that PA imaging technology has the potential to promote early detection of breast cancer, and realization of its practical use is expected in the near future.
Journal ArticleDOI
Prognostic significance of subtype and pathologic response in operable breast cancer; a pooled analysis of prospective neoadjuvant studies of JBCRG.
Katsumasa Kuroi,Masakazu Toi,Shinji Ohno,Seigo Nakamura,Hiroji Iwata,Norikazu Masuda,Nobuaki Sato,Hitoshi Tsuda,Masafumi Kurosumi,Futoshi Akiyama +9 more
TL;DR: This study confirmed the prognostic significance of QpCR and nodal status and the predictive and prognosis significance of subtype in neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
