Metabolic Food Waste and Ecological Impact of Obesity in FAO World's Region.

TL;DR: Evidence of the enormous amount of food lost through obesity and its ecological impact is provided, and reducing metabolic food waste associated with obesity will contribute in reducing the ecological impact of unbalanced dietary patterns through an improvement of human health.
Journal ArticleDOI

Natural Aromatic Compounds as Scaffolds to Develop Selective G-Quadruplex Ligands: From Previously Reported Berberine Derivatives to New Palmatine Analogues.

TL;DR: The preliminary studies of the interactions of these compounds with various G-quadruplex-forming sequences were carried out by means of various structural and biochemical techniques, which showed that the presence of suitable side chains is very useful for improving the interaction of the ligands with G- quadruplex structures.
Journal ArticleDOI

Phytochemical analysis of the ethanolic extract of Agathis robusta (C. Moore ex F. Muell.) F.M. Bailey

TL;DR: The phytochemical analysis of the ethanolic extract obtained from the leaves of Agathis robusta revealed several pharmacological properties among which, the antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and protective ones are the most important and may explain why this species is used in the ethno-medicinal field.
Journal ArticleDOI

Iridoids in the Flora of Italy; Part 111. Kickxioside, A New Iridoid Glucoside from Kickxia spuria.

TL;DR: A new iridoid glucoside, 2, named kickxioside, was isolated from KICKXIA SPURIA on the basis of spectral data, and the structure of antirrhinoside esterified at position 6 by a menthiafolic acid was assigned to 2.
