TL;DR: Significant residual MS and/or MR were not infrequent after mitral ViV and ViR procedures and were both associated with a need for repeat valve replacement and strategies to improve postprocedural hemodynamics should be further explored.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mesana,Marino Labinaz,Federico Pappalardo,Maurizio Taramasso,Benjamin Hibbert +38 more
TL;DR: Transcatheter mitral valve repair may improve short- and intermediate-term mortality in high-risk patients with cardiogenic shock and moderate to severe MR and Randomized studies are needed to definitively establish MR as a therapeutic target.
Journal ArticleDOI
Revascularization of Chronic Total Occlusions: Time to Reconsider?
TL;DR: Current data suggest CTO revascularization may have substantial impact on patient outcomes; thus, revascularized should likely be held to similar criteria as nonocclusive lesions; however, additional large clinical trial data are required to more definitively determine CTORevascularization guidelines.
Journal ArticleDOI
Oxygen therapy in acute coronary syndrome: are the benefits worth the risk?
Mony Shuvy,Dan Atar,Dan Atar,Philippe Gabriel Steg,Sigrun Halvorsen,Sanjit S. Jolly,Salim Yusuf,Chaim Lotan +7 more
TL;DR: A systematic literature review that explores the basic and clinical data on the function of oxygen in ischaemic heart disease and myocardial infarction suggests that there are conflictingData on the effects of oxygen treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI
CHA2DS2-VASc score and clinical outcomes of patients with acute coronary syndrome
Zach Rozenbaum,Avishay Elis,Avishay Elis,Mony Shuvy,Dina Vorobeichik,Nir Shlomo,Meital Shlezinger,Ilan Goldenberg,Ilan Goldenberg,Oded Kimhi,David Pereg,David Pereg +11 more
TL;DR: Higher CHA2DS2-VASc score identifies high-risk patients that may be overlooked by existing scores and may be used together with the GRACE score for an improved risk assessment of ACS patients.
