Cytokines for evaluation of chronic inflammatory status in ageing research: reliability and phenotypic characterisation.

TL;DR: Single measurements of selected cytokines using MSD platform, including IL-6, IL-8, Il-10,IL-13, TNF-α, and IFN-γ have shown to be representative of an individual’s average level over time and could be suitable for use in prospective epidemiological and clinical studies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Meal Timing, Aging, and Metabolic Health

TL;DR: Dietary approaches might represent a promising, attractive, and easy-to-adapt strategy for the prevention and therapy of circadian and metabolic disturbances in humans of different age.
Journal ArticleDOI

Circulating Wnt1-inducible signaling pathway protein-1 (WISP-1/CCN4) is a novel biomarker of adiposity in subjects with type 2 diabetes.

TL;DR: The CCN4 concentration correlated positively with percentage of fat mass in central abdominal area, as well as with leptin, resistin and visfatin levels; negative correlation was found between CCN 4 and mean adipocyte diameter.
