Journal ArticleDOI
A restoration framework for ultrasonic tissue characterization
Martino Alessandrini,S. Maggio,Jonathan Poree,L. De Marchi,Nicolo Speciale,Emilie Franceschini,Olivier Bernard,Olivier Basset +7 more
TL;DR: A maximum a posteriori deconvolution framework expressly derived to improve tissue characterization is introduced and overcomes limitations associated with standard techniques by using a nonstandard prior model for the tissue response.
Journal ArticleDOI
The human protein p19ARF is not detected in hemopoietic human cell lines that abundantly express the alternative beta transcript of the p16INK4a/MTS1 gene.
TL;DR: The p16/MTS1/CDKN2 gene on human chromosome band 9p21 encodes two unrelated proteins: p16INK4a, a specific inhibitor of the cyclin D-dependent kinases CKD4 and CDK6, and the structurally unrelated p19ARF protein that arrests cell growth in G1/S and also in G2/M.
Journal ArticleDOI
Interval observers for non monotone systems. application to bioprocess models
Marcelo Moisan,Olivier Bernard +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an interval observer working in closed loop for the state variables estimation of systems whose modelling is uncertain, as is generally the case for bioprocess models, is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis, structure, microstructure and mechanical characteristics of MOCVD deposited zirconia films
TL;DR: In this article, a thin film of silicon oxide (10 nm), formed in the reactor during heating, was characterized by field emission microscopy and X-ray diffraction so that microstructure and ratios of monoclinic and tetragonal phases could be estimated according to the process conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aqueous solutions of tetraalkylammonium halides: ion hydration, dynamics and ion–ion interactions in light of steric effects
Debsindhu Bhowmik,Natalie Malikova,Guillaume Mériguet,Olivier Bernard,José A. Teixeira,Pierre Turq +5 more
TL;DR: There is absence of hydrophobicity-driven cation-cation aggregation in both TMABr and TBABr solutions studied, and the link between these real systems and the theoretical predictions for spherical hydrophobic solutes of varying size does not seem straightforward.
