Oscar Jimenez-del-Toro,Henning Müller,Markus Krenn,Katharina Gruenberg,Abdel Aziz Taha,Marianne Winterstein,Ivan Eggel,Antonio Foncubierta-Rodríguez,Orcun Goksel,Andras Jakab,Georgios Kontokotsios,Georg Langs,Bjoern H. Menze,Tomas Salas Fernandez,Roger Schaer,Anna Walleyo,Marc-André Weber,Yashin Dicente Cid,Tobias Gass,Mattias P. Heinrich,Fucang Jia,Fredrik Kahl,Razmig Kéchichian,Dominic Mai,Assaf B. Spanier,G.R. Vincent,Chunliang Wang,Daniel Wyeth,Allan Hanbury +28 more
TL;DR: A cloud-based evaluation framework is presented in this paper including results of benchmarking current state-of-the-art medical imaging algorithms for anatomical structure segmentation and landmark detection: the VISCERAL Anatomy benchmarks.
Journal ArticleDOI
Isotropic Total Variation Regularization of Displacements in Parametric Image Registration.
TL;DR: In isotropic Total Variation (TV) regularization is used to enable accurate registration near sliding interfaces in breathing motion databases and is robust to parameter selection, allowing the use of the same parameters for all tested databases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Quantitative spatial analysis of haematopoiesis-regulating stromal cells in the bone marrow microenvironment by 3D microscopy
Alvaro Gomariz,Alvaro Gomariz,Patrick M. Helbling,Stephan Isringhausen,Ute Suessbier,Anton S. Becker,Andreas Boss,Takashi Nagasawa,Gregory Paul,Orcun Goksel,Gábor Székely,Szymon Stoma,Simon F. Norrelykke,Markus G. Manz,César Nombela-Arrieta +14 more
TL;DR: 3D microscopy is used to map the topography of haematopoietic stem cell niche stromal components, showing that sinusoidal endothelial and mesenchymal reticular subsets are remarkably more abundant than estimated by conventional flow cytometry.
Journal ArticleDOI
Modeling and simulation of flexible needles.
TL;DR: The results show that the angular spring model, which is computationally the most efficient model, is also the most accurate in modeling the bending of the brachytherapy needle.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spatial domain reconstruction for imaging speed-of-sound with pulse-echo ultrasound: simulation and in vivo study.
TL;DR: A SoS reconstruction strategy, where the forward problem is formulated using differential time-of-flight measurements based on apparent displacements along different ultrasound wave propagation paths, and the inverse problem is solved in spatial-domain using a proposed total-variation scheme with spatially-varying anisotropic weighting to compensate for geometric bias from limited angle imaging setup.
