Journal ArticleDOI
Restricting Glycolysis Preserves T Cell Effector Functions and Augments Checkpoint Therapy.
Kathrin Renner,Christina Bruss,Annette Schnell,Gudrun E. Koehl,Holger M. Becker,Matthias Fante,Ayse Nur Menevse,Nathalie Kauer,Raquel Blazquez,Lisa Hacker,Sonja Maria Decking,Toszka Bohn,Stephanie Faerber,Katja Evert,Lisa Aigle,Sabine Amslinger,Maria Landa,Oscar Krijgsman,Elisa A. TL;DR: It is reported that melanoma patients with high expression of glycolysis-related genes show a worse progression free survival upon anti-PD1 treatment, and this findings support the rationale for targeting Glycolytic tumors together with checkpoint inhibitors in clinical trials.
Journal ArticleDOI
Randomized, controlled trial of resistance training in breast cancer patients receiving adjuvant radiotherapy: results on cancer-related fatigue and quality of life
Karen Steindorf,Martina E. Schmidt,Oliver Klassen,Cornelia M. Ulrich,Jan Oelmann,Nina Habermann,Philipp Beckhove,Robert W. Owen,Jürgen Debus,Joachim Wiskemann,Karin Potthoff +10 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that resistance training effects on fatigue and QoL go beyond psychosocial benefits, and that the clinically relevant overall benefit of resistance exercise compared with usual care can be assumed to be higher.
Journal ArticleDOI
Monitoring regulatory T cells in clinical samples: consensus on an essential marker set and gating strategy for regulatory T cell analysis by flow cytometry.
Saskia J. A. M. Santegoets,Eveline M. Dijkgraaf,Alessandra Battaglia,Philipp Beckhove,Cedrik M. Britten,Cedrik M. Britten,Awen Gallimore,Andrew James Godkin,Cécile Gouttefangeas,Tanja D. de Gruijl,Hans J. P. M. Koenen,Alexander Scheffold,Ethan M. Shevach,Janet Staats,Kjetil Taskén,Kjetil Taskén,Theresa L. Whiteside,Judith R. Kroep,Marij J. P. Welters,Sjoerd H. van der Burg +19 more
TL;DR: An essential marker set comprising antibodies to CD3, CD4, CD25, CD127, Foxp3, Ki67, and CD45RA and a corresponding robust gating strategy for the context-dependent analysis of Tregs by flow cytometry is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tumor infiltrating T lymphocytes in colorectal cancer: Tumor-selective activation and cytotoxic activity in situ.
Moritz Koch,Philipp Beckhove,Jan op den Winkel,Daniel Autenrieth,Philipp Wagner,Daniel Nummer,Sebastian Specht,Dalibor Antolovic,Luis H. Galindo,Friedrich H. Schmitz-Winnenthal,Volker Schirrmacher,Markus W. Büchler,Jürgen Weitz +12 more
TL;DR: The data support the immunogenicity of colorectal cancer and suggest clinical significance of tumor-specific immune responses and tumor-selective migration of CD4+ T helper cells were demonstrated in coloreCTal cancer for the first time.
