TL;DR: It is shown that the Bronze Age was a highly dynamic period involving large-scale population migrations and replacements, responsible for shaping major parts of present-day demographic structure in both Europe and Asia.

New insights into Early Celtic consumption practices: Organic residue analyses of local and imported pottery from Vix-Mont Lassois.
Maxime Rageot,Maxime Rageot,Angela Mötsch,Birgit Schorer,David Bardel,Alexandra Winkler,Federica Sacchetti,Bruno Chaume,Philippe Della Casa,Stephen Buckley,Sara Cafisso,Janine Fries-Knoblach,Dirk Krausse,Thomas Hoppe,Philipp W. Stockhammer,Philipp W. Stockhammer,Cynthianne Debono Spiteri +16 more
TL;DR: The first scientific study carried out to elucidate the use of Mediterranean imports in Early Celtic Central Europe and their local ceramic counterparts through organic residue analyses of 99 vessels from Vix-Mont Lassois, a key Early Celtic site is presented.

Ancient DNA analysis reveals high frequency of European lactase persistence allele (T-13910) in medieval central europe.
Annina Krüttli,Abigail S. Bouwman,Gülfirde Akgül,Philippe Della Casa,Frank J Rühli,Christina Warinner,Christina Warinner +6 more
TL;DR: DNA extracted from the dentine of 36 individuals excavated at a medieval cemetery in Dalheim, Germany suggests that genetic lactase persistence likely reached modern levels before the historic population declines associated with the Black Death, thus excluding plague-associated evolutionary forces in the rise of lactases persistence in this region.
Transalpine pass routes in the Swiss Central Alps and the strategic use of topographic resources
TL;DR: In this paper, the existence of transalpine high altitude pass routes can be inferred, even though there is a lack physical evidence, from specific Bronze and Iron Age settlement patterns in access valleys.
