TL;DR: In this article, a large international collaborative questionnaire study was conducted in 26 countries, using 21 different languages, which led to a dataset of 8225 questionnaires, and significant differences appeared between groups of participants in their perception of the scales, both in relation to distances of the anchors and relationships between scales.
Journal ArticleDOI
Field study on indoor thermal comfort of office buildings using evaporative cooling in the composite climate of India
TL;DR: In this article, a multi-year field study of thermal comfort was conducted in ten office buildings operated under evaporative cooling systems in the composite climate of Jaipur, India.
Journal ArticleDOI
Development of mathematical correlations for indoor temperature from field observations of the performance of high thermal mass buildings in India
TL;DR: In this article, thermal monitoring of high thermal mass residential buildings is performed in the composite climate of India for the summer and winter season, and separate mathematical correlations are developed to predict the indoor temperatures.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: This study aims to gain deeper knowledge on contextual influences on the interpretation of thermal perception scales and their verbal anchors by survey participants and offers potential for further analysis in the areas of building design and operation, psycho-physical relationships between human perception and the built environment, and linguistic analyses.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermal performance prediction of office buildings using direct evaporative cooling systems in the composite climate of India
TL;DR: In this article, the thermal performance of office buildings using Direct Evaporative Cooling (DEC) systems for thermal comfort during the summer season of Indian composite climate is predicted. And the potential of DEC to offset thermal discomfort was assessed using the proposed mathematical correlations.
