Journal ArticleDOI
Studies on chemically modified forms of the myelin basic protein: requirements for encephalitogenicity.
TL;DR: It is shown that although this peptide sequence may be necessary, it is not a sufficient condition to determine encephalitogenic activity, and the results with gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP) are pertinent.
Book ChapterDOI

Phosphatidylethanolamines Modified by -Ketoaldehyde (KA) Induce Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress and Endothelial
Lilu Guo,Zhongyi Chen,Brian E. Cox,Venkataraman Amarnath,Raquel F. Epand,Richard M. Epand,Sean S. Davies +6 more
TL;DR: It is found that PE modified by γKA (γKA-PE) induced THP-1 monocyte adhesion to human umbilical cord endothelial cells, and is a potential mediator of the inflammation induced by lipid peroxidation.
