An Improved Method for the Determination of 1,3-Butadiene in Nonoccupational Environments

TL;DR: In this article, a sampling and analytical methodology is validated for determining 1,3-butadiene in non-occupational environments by collecting samples via sorbent tubes containing 1000 mg of Carbopack B and 150 mg of Carosieve SIII and analyzed by GC/MS.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modelling traffic-induced multicomponent ultrafine particles in urban street canyon compartments: Factors that inhibit mixing.

TL;DR: A two-box model coupled with ultrafine particle (UFP) multicomponent microphysics for a compartmentalised street canyon provides a framework for understanding how canyon geometry and the presence of street trees, street furniture, and architectural features interact with the large-scale atmospheric flow to determine ground-level pollutant concentrations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spatial and temporal trends in carbonaceous aerosols in the United Kingdom

TL;DR: In this article, the trends in black carbon (BC), brown carbon (BrC), elemental carbon (EC) and organic carbon (OC) at 11 sites with different classifications over the UK were examined.
