Journal ArticleDOI
Nuclear cGAS suppresses DNA repair and promotes tumorigenesis.
Haipeng Liu,Haiping Zhang,Xiangyang Wu,Dapeng Ma,Juehui Wu,Lin Wang,Yan Jiang,Yiyan Fei,Chenggang Zhu,Rong Tan,Peter R. Jungblut,Gang Pei,Anca Dorhoi,Anca Dorhoi,Qiaoling Yan,Fan Zhang,Ruijuan Zheng,Siyu Liu,Haijiao Liang,Zhonghua Liu,Hua Yang,Jianxia Chen,Peng Wang,Tianqi Tang,Wenxia Peng,Zhangsen Hu,Zhu Xu,Xiaochen Huang,Jie Wang,Haohao Li,Yilong Zhou,Feng Liu,Dapeng Yan,Stefan H. E. Kaufmann,Chang Chen,Zhiyong Mao,Baoxue Ge +36 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that nuclear cGAS suppresses homologous-recombination-mediated repair and promotes tumour growth, and that cGas therefore represents a potential target for cancer prevention and therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
MicroRNA-27a controls the intracellular survival of Mycobacterium tuberculosis by regulating calcium-associated autophagy
Feng Liu,Jianxia Chen,Peng Wang,Haohao Li,Yilong Zhou,Haipeng Liu,Zhonghua Liu,Ruijuan Zheng,Lin Wang,Hua Yang,Zhenling Cui,Fei Wang,Xiaochen Huang,Jie Wang,Wei Sha,Heping Xiao,Baoxue Ge +16 more
TL;DR: It is shown that Mtb-induced MicroRNA-27a targets the ER-associated calcium transporter CACNA2D3, leading to suppression of antimicrobial autophagy and to enhanced intracellular survival of Mtb.
Journal ArticleDOI
TLR3 regulates mycobacterial RNA-induced IL-10 production through the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.
Wenjuan Bai,Haipeng Liu,Qun Ji,Yilong Zhou,Le Liang,Ruijuan Zheng,Jianxia Chen,Zhonghua Liu,Hong Yang,Peng Zhang,Stefan H. E. Kaufmann,Baoxue Ge +11 more
TL;DR: It is shown that TLR3, a sensor of extracellular viral or host RNA with stable stem structures derived from infected or damaged cells, is essential for Mtb-induced Il-10 production, which induces IL-10 through the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI
The selection and application of ssDNA aptamers against MPT64 protein in Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
Lianhua Qin,Ruijuan Zheng,Zhan-Zhong Ma,Yonghong Feng,Zhonghua Liu,Hua Yang,Jie Wang,Ruiliang Jin,Junmei Lu,Yuan-sheng Ding,Zhongyi Hu +10 more
TL;DR: Aptamer of MPT64 as a new detection tool, to a certain extent, is feasible to diagnose Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Host-mediated ubiquitination of a mycobacterial protein suppresses immunity
Lin Wang,Juehui Wu,Jun Li,Hua Yang,Tianqi Tang,Haijiao Liang,Mianyong Zuo,Jie Wang,Haipeng Liu,Feng Liu,Jianxia Chen,Zhonghua Liu,Yang Wang,Cheng Peng,Xiangyang Wu,Ruijuan Zheng,Xiaochen Huang,Yajun Ran,Zihe Rao,Baoxue Ge +19 more
TL;DR: This work reports that the host E3 ubiquitin ligase ANAPC2—a core subunit of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome—interacts with the mycobacterial protein Rv0222 and promotes the attachment of lysine-11-linked ubiquit in chains to lysin 76 of Rv 0222 in order to suppress the expression of proinflammatory cytokines.
