Epitaxial growth of a 100-square-centimetre single-crystal hexagonal boron nitride monolayer on copper.
Li Wang,Li Wang,Xiaozhi Xu,Leining Zhang,Ruixi Qiao,Muhong Wu,Zhichang Wang,Shuai Zhang,Jing Liang,Zhihong Zhang,Zhibin Zhang,Wang Chen,Xuedong Xie,Junyu Zong,Yuwei Shan,Yi Guo,Marc Georg Willinger,Hui Wu,Qunyang Li,Wenlong Wang,Peng Gao,Shiwei Wu,Yi Zhang,Ying Jiang,Ying Jiang,Dapeng Yu,Enge Wang,Xuedong Bai,Zhu-Jun Wang,Feng Ding,Kaihui Liu +30 more
TL;DR: The epitaxial growth of large single-crystal hexagonal boron nitride monolayers on low-symmetry copper foils is demonstrated and is expected to facilitate the wide application of 2D devices and lead to the epitaxials growth of broad non-centrosymmetric 2D materials, such as various transition-metal dichalcogenides20–23, to produce large single crystals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ultrafast growth of single-crystal graphene assisted by a continuous oxygen supply
Xiaozhi Xu,Zhihong Zhang,Lu Qiu,Jianing Zhuang,Lei Zhang,Huan Wang,Chongnan Liao,Hua-Ding Song,Ruixi Qiao,Peng Gao,Zonghai Hu,Lei Liao,Zhi-Min Liao,Dapeng Yu,Enge Wang,Feng Ding,Hailin Peng,Kaihui Liu +17 more
TL;DR: It is shown that single-crystal graphene can be grown on copper foils with a growth rate of 60 μm-1, and single- Crystal graphene domains with a lateral size of 0.3 mm are able to be grown with just 5 s.
Journal ArticleDOI
Greatly Enhanced Anticorrosion of Cu by Commensurate Graphene Coating.
Xiaozhi Xu,Ding Yi,Zhichang Wang,Jiachen Yu,Zhihong Zhang,Ruixi Qiao,Zhanghao Sun,Zonghai Hu,Peng Gao,Hailin Peng,Zhongfan Liu,Dapeng Yu,Dapeng Yu,Enge Wang,Ying Jiang,Feng Ding,Kaihui Liu +16 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that as-grown graphene can protect Cu(111) surface from oxidation in humid air lasting for more than 2.5 years, in sharp contrast with the accelerated oxidation of graphene-coated Cu(100) surface.
Journal ArticleDOI
Monitoring Local Strain Vector in Atomic-Layered MoSe2 by Second-Harmonic Generation
Jing Liang,Jin Zhang,Zhenzhu Li,Hao Hong,Jinhuan Wang,Zhihong Zhang,Xu Zhou,Ruixi Qiao,Jiyu Xu,Peng Gao,Zhirong Liu,Zhongfan Liu,Zhipei Sun,Sheng Meng,Kaihui Liu,Dapeng Yu +15 more
TL;DR: A novel approach to monitor the local strain vector in 2D molybdenum diselenide (MoSe2) by polarization-dependent optical second-harmonic generation (SHG) is reported, establishing that SHG is an effective approach for in situ, sensitive, and noninvasive measurement of local strainvector in noncentrosymmetric 2D materials.
Journal ArticleDOI
Robust Stacking-Independent Ultrafast Charge Transfer in MoS2/WS2 Bilayers.
Ziheng Ji,Hao Hong,Jin Zhang,Qi Zhang,Wei Huang,Ting Cao,Ruixi Qiao,Can Liu,Jing Liang,Chuanhong Jin,Liying Jiao,Kebin Shi,Sheng Meng,Kaihui Liu +13 more
TL;DR: The results elucidate the origin of transfer rate robustness against interlayer stacking configurations in optical devices based on 2D heterostructures, facilitating their applications in ultrafast and high-efficient optoelectronic and photovoltaic devices in the near future.
