Impact of sex incompatibility on the outcome of single-unit cord blood transplantation for adult patients with hematological malignancies

TL;DR: The data suggested that donor–recipient sex compatibility does not have a significant impact on survival after myeloablative CBT for hematological malignancies and there was no increase in mortality following sex-incompatible CBT.
Journal ArticleDOI

Findings from recent studies by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency examining musculoskeletal atrophy in space and on Earth

TL;DR: In this paper, the molecular and physiological mechanisms of muscle and bone atrophy under microgravity conditions are gradually revealed through spaceflight experiments conducted by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency using a variety of model organisms, including both aquatic and terrestrial animals.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Bacterial Artificial Chromosome Transgene with Polymorphic Cd72 Inhibits the Development of Glomerulonephritis and Vasculitis in MRL-Faslpr Lupus Mice

TL;DR: It is substantiated that a CD72 polymorphism in the membrane-distal extracellular domain impacts on both the development of glomerulonephritis and vasculitis in a lupus model strain of mice, MRL/MpJ-Faslpr, and the reactivity of BCR signal stimulation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Arterial embolization to control renal hemorrhage in patients with percutaneous nephrostomy.

TL;DR: Although both patients had hematuria and underwent percutaneous nephrostomy, the bleeding location was not detected angiographically, and repeated embolization and irrigations through a neph Frostomy catheter following each embolizations arrested the bleeding.
