Journal ArticleDOI

Generation of transgenic mouse line expressing Kusabira Orange throughout body, including erythrocytes, by random segregation of provirus method.

TL;DR: Using the random segregation of provirus (RSP) method, a transgenic mouse line expressing a red/orange fluorescent protein, Kusabira Orange (KuO), is generated that likely will prove useful for study of hematopoiesis that includes erythropoieis and megakaryopoiedis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Loss of the conserved PKA sites of SIK1 and SIK2 increases sleep need

TL;DR: Whether the PKA phosphorylation sites of SIK1 and SIK2 are involved in sleep regulation by generating Sik1 S577A and Sik2 S587A mice is examined, suggesting that PKA-SIK signaling is involved in the regulation of sleep need.
Journal ArticleDOI

Differentiation of IL-17-Producing Invariant Natural Killer T Cells Requires Expression of the Transcription Factor c-Maf.

TL;DR: It is shown that c-Maf deficiency is essential for the induction of IL-17-producing iNKT (iNKT17) cells by IL-6, TGF-β, and IL-1 β, and the optimal expression of RORγt in iN KT17 cells, and is a potential therapeutic target in inKT17 cell-mediated inflammatory disease.
