Loss of nuclear p16 protein expression is not associated with promoter methylation but defines a subgroup of aggressive endometrial carcinomas with poor prognosis.
TL;DR: Loss of nuclear p16 protein expression was associated with aggressive endometrial carcinomas and high proliferative activity (Ki-67) and was found to represent a strong and independent prognostic indicator.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical and molecular basis of classical lissencephaly: Mutations in the LIS1 gene (PAFAH1B1).
Carlos Cardoso,Richard J. Leventer,James J. Dowling,Heather L. Ward,June Chung,Kristin Petras,Jessica A. Roseberry,Ann M. Weiss,Soma Das,Christa Lese Martin,Daniela T. Pilz,William B. Dobyns,David H. Ledbetter +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported 65 large deletions of the LIS1 gene detected by FISH and 41 intragenic mutations, including four not previously reported, the majority of which have been found as a consequence of the investigation of 220 children with Lissencephaly or SBH by their group.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of prednisone and genetic polymorphisms on etoposide disposition in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Shinji Kishi,Wenjian Yang,Wenjian Yang,Wenjian Yang,Benoit Boureau,Benoit Boureau,Benoit Boureau,Stanislas Morand,Stanislas Morand,Stanislas Morand,Soma Das,Soma Das,Soma Das,Peixian Chen,Peixian Chen,Peixian Chen,Edwin H. Relling,Mary V. Relling +30 more
TL;DR: Prednisone strongly induces etoposide clearance, genetic polymorphisms may predict the constitutive and induced clearance of etopOSide, and the relationship between genotype and phenotype differs by race.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phase II trial of irinotecan in children with refractory solid tumors: a Children's Oncology Group Study.
Lisa Bomgaars,Mark Bernstein,Mark Krailo,Richard Kadota,Soma Das,Zhengjia Chen,Peter C. Adamson,Susan M. Blaney +7 more
TL;DR: IRN 50 mg/m2/d for 5 days every 21 days is well tolerated, but was not effective as a single agent in a spectrum of solid tumors, with the possible exception of patients with medulloblastoma (16% response rate).
Journal ArticleDOI
Dose-Finding and Pharmacokinetic Study to Optimize the Dosing of Irinotecan According to the UGT1A1 Genotype of Patients With Cancer
Federico Innocenti,Richard L. Schilsky,Jacqueline Ramírez,Linda Janisch,Samir D. Undevia,Larry House,Soma Das,Kehua Wu,Michelle Turcich,Robert de Wilton Marsh,Theodore Karrison,Michael Maitland,Ravi Salgia,Mark J. Ratain +13 more
TL;DR: The UGT1A1*28 genotype can be used to individualize dosing of irinotecan and the effect of genotype-guided dosing on efficacy in patients receiving irinOTecan should be evaluated.
