Journal ArticleDOI

Array tomography: rodent brain fixation and embedding.

TL;DR: This protocol describes the fixation and processing required to prepare tissues for immunofluorescence array tomography, which makes it possible to visualize and quantify previously inaccessible features of tissue structure and molecular architecture.
Journal ArticleDOI

Just a chemical attraction

Proceedings ArticleDOI

Low-frequency noise characterization of near-IR VCSELs for functional brain imaging

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors characterized the relative intensity noise (RIN) of commercial VCSEL devices and evaluated their feasibility for use in an integrated semiconductor optical sensor for functional brain imaging using Intrinsic Optical Signals (IOS).
Journal Article

Confocal imaging of mossy fiber growth in live hippocampal slices.

TL;DR: Time-lapse observations were made in area CA3 at a time when mossy fibers are normally growing in and forming en passant synapses with pyramidal neurons, and dynamic filopodia-like structures were found to be associated with axonal varicosities proximal to the leading growth cone.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Computational Synaptic Antibody Characterization Tool for Array Tomography

TL;DR: An automated framework for characterization and screening of antibodies against synaptic molecules for high-resolution immunofluorescence array tomography (AT) and an automatic, robust, flexible, and efficient tool for antibody characterization at scale are introduced.
