Electric quadrupole moment of 17 B and anomalous E2 effective charges for neutron-rich nuclei
Hiroshi Ogawa,Koichiro Asahi,K. Sakai,T. Suzuki,H. Izumi,H. Miyoshi,M. Nagakura,K. Yogo,A. Goto,T. Suga,T. Honda,Hiroaki Ueno,Y. X. Watanabe,K. Yoneda,Akihiro Yoshimi,Naoki Fukuda,Y. Kobayashi,Atsushi Yoshida,Takashi Kubo,Masamichi Ishihara,N. Imai,N. Aoi,W. D. Schmidt-Ott,Gerda Neyens,Stéphanie Teughels +24 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the electric quadrupole moment for the ground state of the Mg single crystal stopper was determined by the NMR method applied to spin-polarized projectile fragments.
Journal ArticleDOI
Giant electric field effect on the second hyperpolarizability of symmetric singlet diradical molecules.
TL;DR: It is found that under the effect of a field, the component of γ along the axis joining the two radical sites can be gigantically enhanced for symmetric diradicals having intermediate diradical characters with respect to those of closed-shell and pure Diradical molecules in the absence ofA field.
Journal ArticleDOI
Magnetic moments of 17N and 17B
H. Ueno,Koichiro Asahi,H. Izumi,Kyosuke Nagata,Hiroshi Ogawa,Akihiro Yoshimi,Hirohiko Sato,M. Adachi,Y. Hori,K. Mochinaga,Hideki Okuno,N. Aoi,M. Ishihara,A. Yoshida,G. Liu,Takashi Kubo,N. Fukunishi,Tadashi Shimoda,H. Miyatake,Misao Sasaki,T. Shirakura,Naruto Takahashi,S. Mitsuoka,W. D. Schmidt-Ott +23 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the magnetic moments of a single-particle valence nucleus were measured by using spin-polarized radioactive nuclear beams which were obtained from the projectile fragmentation reaction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hetero-π-Dimers of Phenalenyls.
TL;DR: It is found that the amount of charge transfer between the two monomers in phenalenyl π-dimers correlates with the difference in the SOMO energies of the constituent monomers, where the SomO energy plays the role of a monomer (group) electronegativity index.
Journal ArticleDOI
An effective synthesis of N,N-dimethylamides from carboxylic acids and a new route from N,N-dimethylamides to 1,2-diaryl-1,2-diketones
Takashi Kumagai,Tomohiro Anki,Takahiro Ebi,Akihito Konishi,Kouzou Matsumoto,Hiroyuki Kurata,Takashi Kubo,Kenta Katsumoto,Chitoshi Kitamura,Takeshi Kawase +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, carboxylic acids were heated at 150°C in DMF in the presence of 1.25 ǫ-equiv of thionyl chloride to give corresponding N,N-dimethylamides in good yields.
