Journal ArticleDOI
Electronic structure of delocalized singlet biradical Ph2-IDPL solid film
Kaname Kanai,Yukiko Noda,Keita Kato,Takashi Kubo,Kai Iketaki,Akihiro Shimizu,Yukio Ouchi,Kazuhiro Nakasuji,Kazuhiko Seki +8 more
TL;DR: It was found that the gas-deposition method substantially improved the crystallinity of the film where Ph(2)-IDPL molecules form quasi one-dimensional molecular chains normal to the substrate surface, which indicates that the small HOMO-LUMO gap is an important characteristic of the singlet biradical electronic structure and well explains the previously reported ambipolar field effects.
Journal ArticleDOI
Theoretical study on the second hyperpolarizability of open-shell singlet one-dimensional systems with a charged defect
Akihito Takebe,Masayoshi Nakano,Ryohei Kishi,Masahito Nate,Hideaki Takahashi,Takashi Kubo,Kenji Kamada,Koji Ohta,Benoît Champagne,Edith Botek +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, the longitudinal static second hyperpolarizability of cationic symmetric hydrogen chain models having different bond-length alternations (BLAs) was analyzed as a function of the average diradical character.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and functionalization of 3,3'-bis(spirodienone)-bridged 2,2'-bithiophene: a new building block for redox-active molecular switching materials.
TL;DR: Palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions with bromides afforded a variety of pi-extended derivatives, including thiophene derivatives bridged with a bis(spirodienone) unit, which were synthesized and characterized.
Journal ArticleDOI
New findings on structure and production of $^{10}He$ from $^{11}Li$ with the (d,$^{3}He$) reaction
André Palma da Cunha Matta,Didier Beaumel,Hideaki Otsu,V. Lapoux,Natalia Timofeyuk,Nori Aoi,M. Assié,H. Baba,S. Boissinot,R. J. Chen,Franck Delaunay,N. de Sereville,S. Franchoo,P. Stefan,Daisuke Suzuki,Kazutaka Takahashi,M. Takechi,Shuichi Takeuchi,Hua-Lei Wang,R. Wolski,K. Yoneda +47 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the mass spectrum of the unbound nucleus He10 was measured at RIKEN using the Li11(d,He3) reaction at 50A MeV.
Journal ArticleDOI
New decay scheme of the $^{136}_{51}Sb_{85}$ 6$^−$ isomer

S. Jung,Tetsuro Komatsubara,Y. K. Kwon,S. Morimoto,Megumi Niikura,Hiroki Nishibata,I. Nishizuka,Tadashi Shimoda,K. Tshoo +49 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported new data on the $136,136,Sb]-phantom{\rule{4pt}{0ex}}{6}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ yrast isomer with ${T}_{1/2}=489(40) \mathrm{ns}$ and showed that the decay of the isomer to the ground state is in good agreement with shell-model calculations.
