TL;DR: For example, the first ten months of the InSight lander on Mars revealed a planet that is seismically active and provided information about the interior, surface and atmospheric workings of Mars as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tides for a convective Earth
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present analytical expressions for these quantities and compute numerical values for two rotating, nonspherical Earth models, where the Earth is everywhere in hydrostatic equilibrium and the inner core and mantle are both elastic.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: The science goals of the experiment and the rationale used to define its requirements are described, and the hardware, from the sensors to the deployment system and associated performance, including transfer functions of the seismic sensors and temperature sensors are described.
Journal ArticleDOI
Geodesy constraints on the interior structure and composition of Mars
Attilio Rivoldini,Attilio Rivoldini,T. Van Hoolst,O. Verhoeven,Antoine Mocquet,Véronique Dehant +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the moment of inertia and tidal Love number k2 to infer the interior structure of the Mars, which is the most prominent interior structure properties of the core, solid or liquid.
Journal ArticleDOI
New constraints on Saturn’s interior from Cassini astrometric data
Valéry Lainey,Robert A. Jacobson,Radwan Tajeddine,Radwan Tajeddine,Nicholas J. Cooper,Nicholas J. Cooper,Carl D. Murray,V. TL;DR: In this article, the authors determined the Love number of the entire planet from observations, k2=0.390 ± 0.024, a value larger than the commonly used theoretical value of 0.341, but compatible with more recent models (Helled & Guillot, 2013) for which the static k2 ranges from 0.355 to 0.382.
