Acyl-Lipid Metabolism
Younghua Li-Beisson,Basil S. Shorrosh,Fred Beisson,Mats X. Andersson,Vincent Arondel,Philip D. Bates,Sébastien Baud,David Bird,Debono Allan George,Timothy P. Durrett,Rochus Franke,Ian A. Graham,Kenta Katayama,Amélie A. Kelly,Tony R. Larson,Jonathan E. Markham,Martine Miquel,Isabel Molina,Ikuo Nishida,Owen Rowland,Lacey Samuels,Katherine M. Schmid,Hajime Wada,Ruth Welti,Changcheng Xu,Rémi Zallot,John B. Ohlrogge +26 more
TL;DR: This chapter focuses on the metabolic pathways that are associated with the biosynthesis and degradation of the acyl lipids that represent their major form of carbon and energy storage in Arabidopsis.
Journal ArticleDOI
De novo genome sequencing and comparative genomics of date palm (Phoenix dactylifera)
Eman K. Al-Dous,Binu George,Maryam E. Al-Mahmoud,Moneera Al-Jaber,Hao Wang,Yasmeen Salameh,Eman K. Al-Azwani,Srinivasa R. Chaluvadi,Ana Clara Pontaroli,Jeremy D. DeBarry,Vincent Arondel,John B. Ohlrogge,Imad J Saie,Khaled M Suliman-Elmeer,Jeffrey L. Bennetzen,Robert R Kruegger,Joel A. Malek +16 more
TL;DR: A region of the genome linked to gender is identified and evidence that date palm employs an XY system of gender inheritance is found, the first publicly available resource of its type for a member of the order Arecales.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comparative transcriptome and metabolite analysis of oil palm and date palm mesocarp that differ dramatically in carbon partitioning.
Fabienne Bourgis,Aruna Kilaru,Xia Cao,Georges Frank Ngando-Ebongue,Noureddine Drira,John B. Ohlrogge,Vincent Arondel +6 more
TL;DR: Data point to synthesis of fatty acids and supply of pyruvate in the plastid, rather than acyl assembly into triacylglycerol, as a major control over the storage of oil in the mesocarp of oil palm.
Journal ArticleDOI
Acyl-métabolisme des lipides
Yonghua Li-Beisson,Basil S. Shorrosh,Fred Beisson,Fred Beisson,Mats X. Andersson,Vincent Arondel,Philippe D. Bates,Sébastien Baud,David Bird,Debono Allan George,Timithy P. Durrett,Rochus Franke,Ian A. Graham,Kenta Katayama,Amélie A. Kelly,Tony R. Larson,Jonathan E. Markham,Martine Miquel,Isabel Molina,Ikuo Nishida,Owen Rowland,Lacey Samuels,Katherine M. Schmid,Hajime Wada,Ruth Welti,Changcheng Xu,Rémi Zallot,John B. Ohlrogge +27 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a detailed analysis of the lipides acyle of Arabidopsis and discuss the variations in the composition of the chaine acyle in order to augment the nombre de structures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phospholipid transfer protein: full-length cDNA and amino acid sequence in maize. Amino acid sequence homologies between plant phospholipid transfer proteins.
Françoise Tchang,P This,V Stiefel,Vincent Arondel,M D Morch,M Pages,P. Puigdomenech,F Grellet,Michel Delseny,P Bouillon +9 more
TL;DR: The amino acid sequence of maize PLTP was compared to those isolated from spinach leaves or castor bean seeds which exhibit physicochemical properties close to those of the maize protein, and a high homology was observed between the three sequences.
