Beyond controlling cell size: functional analyses of S6K in tumorigenesis
TL;DR: In this article , the authors comprehensively summarize the emerging upstream regulators, downstream substrates, mouse models, clinical relevance, and candidate inhibitors for S6K and shed light on S6k as a potential therapeutic target for cancers.
Posted ContentDOI
Phase separation during mouse early embryonic development and underlying genetic and epigenetic correlations
TL;DR: Interestingly, body temperature changes coincide with the change in chromatin segregation, implying that temperature is a possible factor influencing global chromatin structure.

Epigenomic Analysis of Multi-lineage Differentiation of Human Embryonic Stem Cells
Benjamin A. Garcia,Wei Xie,Matt Schultz,Ryan Lister,Zhonggang Hou,Nisha Rajagopal,Pradipta R. Ray,John W. Whitaker,Shulan Tian,R. David Hawkins,Danny Leung,Hongbo Yang,Tao Wang,Ah Young Lee,Scott Swanson,Jiuchun Zhang,Yun Zhu,Audrey Kim,Joseph R. Nery,Mark A. Chi,Jessica Antosiewicz-Bourget,Igor I. Slukvin,Ron Stewart,Michael Q. Zhang,Wei Wang,James A. Thomson,Joseph R. Ecker,Bing Ren +42 more
TL;DR: It is found that promoters that are active in early developmental stages tend to be CG rich and mainly engage H3K27me3 upon silencing in non-expressing lineages, while promoters for genes expressed preferentially at later stages are often CG poor and employ DNA methylation upon repression.
Journal ArticleDOI
Parental methylome reprogramming in human uniparental blastocysts reveals germline memory transition.
Jiawei Xu,Yimin Shu,Guidong Yao,Yu Zhang,Wenbin Niu,Yile Zhang,Xueshan Ma,Haixia Jin,Fuli Zhang,Senlin Shi,Yang Wang,Wenyan Song,Shanjun Dai,Luyao Cheng,Xiangyang Zhang,Wei Xie,Aaron J. W. Hsueh,Yingpu Sun +17 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the male pronucleus from one zygote into another haploid androgenote was transferred to prevent extra centrioles and successfully generated human diploid, androgenetic embryos with an identifiable inner cell mass (ICM) and trophectoderm (TE).

Proteasome activator PA200 maintains stability of histone marks during transcription and aging
Tian-Xia Jiang,Shuang Ma,Xia Han,Zi-Yu Luo,Qian-Qian Zhu,Tomoki Chiba,Wei Xie,Suren Chen,Kui Lin,Xiao-Bo Qiu +9 more
TL;DR: It is shown that PA200 promotes the transcription-coupled degradation of the core histones, and plays an important role in maintaining the stability of histone marks, and deletion of PA200 or its yeast ortholog Blm10 accelerated cellular aging.
