Targeting YAP-Dependent MDSC Infiltration Impairs Tumor Progression
Guocan Wang,Xin Lu,Prasenjit Dey,Pingna Deng,Chia Chin Wu,Shan Jiang,Zhuangna Fang,Kun Zhao,Ramakrishna Konaparthi,Sujun Hua,Jianhua Zhang,Elsa M. Li-Ning-Tapia,Avnish Kapoor,Chang-Jiun Wu,Neelay Bhaskar Patel,Zhenglin Guo,Vandhana Ramamoorthy,Trang N. Tieu,Timothy P. Heffernan,Di Zhao,Xiaoying Shang,Sunada Khadka,Pingping Hou,Baoli Hu,Eun Jung Jin,Wantong Yao,Xiaolu Pan,Zhihu Ding,Yanxia Shi,Liren Li,Qing Chang,Patricia Troncoso,Christopher J. Logothetis,Mark J. McArthur,Lynda Chin,Y. Alan Wang,Ronald A. DePinho +36 more
TL;DR: A critical role of MDSCs in prostate tumor progression is demonstrated and a cancer cell nonautonomous function of the Hippo-YAP pathway in regulation of CXCL5, a ligand for CXCR2-expressing M DSCs is discovered.
Journal ArticleDOI
Enhanced Cardiomyocyte NLRP3 Inflammasome Signaling Promotes Atrial Fibrillation.
Chunxia Yao,Tina Veleva,Larry D. Scott,Shuyi Cao,Luge Li,Gong Chen,Prince Jeyabal,Xiaolu Pan,Katherina M. Alsina,Issam Abu-Taha,Shokoufeh Ghezelbash,Corey L. Reynolds,Ying H. Shen,Scott A. LeMaire,Wilhelm Schmitz,Frank U. Müller,Ali El-Armouche,N. Tony Eissa,Christine Beeton,Stanley Nattel,Xander H.T. Wehrens,Dobromir Dobrev,Na Li +22 more
TL;DR: A novel pathophysiological role is established for CMNLRP3 inflammasome signaling, with a mechanistic link to the pathogenesis of AF, and the inhibition of NLRP3 is established as a potential novel AF therapy approach.
Journal ArticleDOI
In Vivo Ryr2 Editing Corrects Catecholaminergic Polymorphic Ventricular Tachycardia.
Xiaolu Pan,Leonne E Philippen,Satadru K. Lahiri,Ciaran M. Lee,So Hyun Park,Tarah A. Word,Na Li,Kelsey E Jarrett,Rajat Gupta,Julia O. Reynolds,Jean Lin,Gang Bao,William R. Lagor,Xander H.T. Wehrens +13 more
TL;DR: AAV serotype 9–based delivery of the SaCas9 system can efficiently disrupt a disease-causing allele in cardiomyocytes in vivo and highlights the potential of somatic genome editing approaches for the treatment of lethal autosomal-dominant inherited cardiac disorders, such as catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia.
Journal ArticleDOI
Atrial-Specific Gene Delivery Using an Adeno-Associated Viral Vector
Li Ni,Larry D. Scott,Hannah M. Campbell,Xiaolu Pan,Katherina M. Alsina,Julia O. Reynolds,Leonne E Philippen,Mohit Hulsurkar,William R. Lagor,Na Li,Xander H.T. Wehrens +10 more
TL;DR: AAV9-ANF vectors produce efficient, dose-dependent, and atrial-specific gene expression following a single-dose systemic delivery in mice and are a novel reagent for both mechanistic and gene therapy studies on atrial diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
An In Vivo Screen Identifies PYGO2 as a Driver for Metastatic Prostate Cancer.
Xin Lu,Xin Lu,Xin Lu,Xiaolu Pan,Chang-Jiun Wu,Di Zhao,Shan Feng,Yong Zang,Rumi Lee,Sunada Khadka,Samirkumar B. Amin,Eun-Jung Jin,Xiaoying Shang,Pingna Deng,Yanting Luo,William R. Morgenlander,Jacqueline Weinrich,Xuemin Lu,Shan Jiang,Qing Chang,Nora M. Navone,Patricia Troncoso,Ronald A. DePinho,Y. Alan Wang +23 more
TL;DR: Results indicate that PYGO2 functions as a driver oncogene in the 1q21.3 amplicon and may serve as a potential prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for metastatic prostate cancer.
