Journal ArticleDOI

A functional genomics resource for Brassica napus: development of an EMS mutagenized population and discovery of FAE1 point mutations by TILLING.

TL;DR: A new procedure is demonstrated to identify novel mutations in situations where two or more very similar paralogous gene copies exist in a genome, and is able to distinguish novel mutations based on primer pairs designed to amplify both FAE1 paralogues simultaneously.
Journal ArticleDOI

Flowering time variation in oilseed rape (Brassica napus L.) is associated with allelic variation in the FRIGIDA homologue BnaA.FRI.a

TL;DR: The results from both linkage analysis and association mapping indicate that BnaA.FRI.a is a major determinant of flowering time in oilseed rape, and suggest further that this gene also contributes to the differentiation between growth types.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quantitative trait loci for seed yield and yield-related traits, and their responses to reduced phosphorus supply in Brassica napus

TL;DR: Different genetic determinants were involved in controlling seed yield and yield-related traits in B. napus in soils with low P availability in marker-assisted selection.
