Journal ArticleDOI
Environmental influences on clonal hematopoiesis.
TL;DR: Improved understanding of the effects of environmental stress on emergence of CH with mutation-specific clarity will guide future efforts to provide preventive medicine to individuals with CH.
Journal ArticleDOI
Calcium store refilling and STIM activation in STIM- and Orai-deficient cell lines
Sisi Zheng,Sisi Zheng,Lijuan Zhou,Guolin Ma,Tian Zhang,Jindou Liu,Jia Li,Nhung T. Nguyen,Xiaoyan Zhang,Wanjie Li,Robert M. Nwokonko,Yandong Zhou,Fukuan Zhao,Jingguo Liu,Yun Huang,Donald L. Gill,Youjun Wang +16 more
TL;DR: It is found that unstimulated, SOCE null KO cells still retain 50~70% of ER Ca2+ stores of wildtype (wt) cells, and ER-PM trapping and clustering of STIM molecules only facilitates the process of SOCE activation, but is not essential for the activation of Orai channels.
Journal ArticleDOI
Calmodulin Regulates Ca2+-sensing Receptor-mediated Ca2+ Signaling and Its Cell Surface Expression
Yun Huang,Yubin Zhou,Hing-Cheung Wong,Adriana Castiblanco,Yangyi Chen,Edward M. Brown,Jenny J. Yang +6 more
TL;DR: The present study has demonstrated a Ca2+-dependent, stoichiometric interaction between CaM and a CaM-binding domain (CaMBD) located within the C terminus of CaSR, and suggests a wrapping around 1–14-like mode of interaction that involves global conformational changes in both lobes of CaM with concomitant formation of a helical structure in the CaMBD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Tet inactivation disrupts YY1 binding and long-range chromatin interactions during embryonic heart development
Shaohai Fang,Jia Li,Yang Xiao,Minjung Lee,Lei Guo,Wei Han,Tingting Li,Matthew C. Hill,TingTing Hong,William Mo,Rang Xu,Ping Zhang,Fen Wang,Jiang Chang,Yubin Zhou,Deqiang Sun,James F. Martin,Yun Huang +17 more
TL;DR: It is found that cardiac-specific deletion of Tet2 and Tet3 in mice (Tet2/3-DKO) leads to ventricular non-compaction cardiomyopathy (NCC) with embryonic lethality, and DNA methylation and hydroxymethylation dynamics during early cardiac development in both human and mice are analyzed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Human MettL3-MettL14 complex is a sequence-specific DNA adenine methyltransferase active on single-strand and unpaired DNA in vitro.
Clayton B. Woodcock,Dan Yu,Taraneh Hajian,Jia Li,Yun Huang,Nan Dai,Ivan R. Corrêa,Tao Wu,Masoud Vedadi,Masoud Vedadi,Xing Zhang,Xiaodong Cheng +11 more
TL;DR: This work shows human MettL3–MettL14 complex is active in vitro as a DNA adenine-N6 MTase and methylates GGACT in single-strand DNA and double-Strand DNA-containing mismatches.
