HIAF: New opportunities for atomic physics with highly charged heavy ions

TL;DR: A new project, High Intensity heavy ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF) is currently being under design and construction in China as mentioned in this paper, which will provide beams of stable and unstable heavy ions with high energies, high intensities and high quality.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study of dielectronic recombination at the CSRm using lithium-like Ar15+ ions

TL;DR: In this paper, a DR calibration experiment using Li-like argon ions at the main cooler storage ring (CSRm) of the HIRFL facility in Lanzhou, China is equipped with an electron-cooler and denotes an ideal platform for dielectronic recombination (DR) experiments.
Journal ArticleDOI

State-selective electron capture in 30- and 100-keV He + + He collisions

TL;DR: In this paper, a combined experimental and theoretical study on single capture in 30 and 100-kV collisions was performed, and the experimental state-selective cross sections were in good agreement with the dynamic screening classical trajectory Monte Carlo calculation for 100-keV collisions.
