Steady-state hydrogen peroxide induces glycolysis in Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa
Xin Deng,Haihua Liang,Olesya A. Ulanovskaya,Quanjiang Ji,Tianhong Zhou,Fei Sun,Zhike Lu,Alan L. Hutchison,Lefu Lan,Min Wu,Benjamin F. Cravatt,Chuan He +11 more
TL;DR: It is revealed that the inactivation of GAPDH by H2O2 induces metabolic levels of glycolysis and the PPP; the elevated levels of fructose 1,6-biphosphate (FBP) and 2-keto-3-deoxy-6-phosphogluconate (KDPG) lead to dissociation of their corresponding gly colytic repressors (GapR and HexR, respectively) from their cognate promoters,
Journal ArticleDOI
Publisher Correction: N 6 -Methyladenosine methyltransferase ZCCHC4 mediates ribosomal RNA methylation
Honghui Ma,Honghui Ma,Honghui Ma,Xiaoyun Wang,Jia-Bin Cai,Qing Dai,Qing Dai,S. Kundhavai Natchiar,Ruitu Lv,Kai Chen,Kai Chen,Zhike Lu,Zhike Lu,Hao Chen,Yujiang Geno Shi,Yujiang Geno Shi,Fei Lan,Jia Fan,Bruno P. Klaholz,Tao Pan,Yang Shi,Yang Shi,Chuan He,Chuan He +23 more
TL;DR: In the version of this article originally published, the references were incorrectly re-ordered during production and the hyphen in “N6-methyladenosine” in the title was also superscript.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corrigendum: RNA m 6 A methylation regulates the ultraviolet-induced DNA damage response.
Yang Xiang,Benoit Laurent,Chih-Hung Hsu,Sigrid Nachtergaele,Zhike Lu,Wanqiang Sheng,Chuanyun Xu,Hao Chen,Jian Ouyang,Siqing Wang,Dominic Ling,Pang-Hung Hsu,Lee Zou,Ashwini Jambhekar,Chuan He,Yang Shi +15 more
TL;DR: This corrects the article to show that the method used to derive the H2O2 “spatially aggregating force” is based on a two-step process, not a single step, like in the previous version of this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI
m6A demethylase ALKBH5 is required for antibacterial innate defense by intrinsic motivation of neutrophil migration
Yang Liu,Renjie Song,Luping Zhao,Zhike Lu,Yini Li,Xinyi Zhan,Fengjiao Lu,Jiang Yang,Yamei Niu,Xuetao Cao +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors found that neutrophil migration is necessary for antibacterial innate defense by enhancing intrinsic ability of neutrophils migration, and they found that deficiency of ALKBH5 increased mortality of mice with polymicrobial sepsis induced by cecal ligation and puncture (CLP), and Alkbh5 -deficient mice exhibited higher bacterial burden and massive proinflammatory cytokine production in the peritoneal cavity and blood because of less neutrophIL migration.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corrigendum: Structural basis for selective binding of m(6)A RNA by the YTHDC1 YTH domain.
Chao Xu,Xiao Wang,Ke Liu,Ian A Roundtree,Wolfram Tempel,Yanjun Li,Zhike Lu,Chuan He,Jinrong Min +8 more
TL;DR: In the version of this Brief Communication initially published, the email address for corresponding author, Chao Xu, was incorrect and it should be listed as chaor.xu@utoronto.edu.
