TL;DR: In this article, the author examines the aspects of modelling of investment solutions under conditions of developing aviation business, giving methods of modeling of demand, including those based on dynamics of macroeconomic indicators.
Abstract: Abstract The article deals with the problems of investment development of air companies. The author examines the aspects of modelling of investment solutions under conditions of developing aviation business, giving methods of modelling of demand, including those based on dynamics of macroeconomic indicators. The article contains the problems relating to assessment of macroeconomic risks, using models of assessment of discount rates. Variants of assessment of currency risks in the process of evaluation of efficiency of international investment solutions are analyzed as well. This article also deals with some problems relating to project financing. The aspect on necessity to take into account correlation between man's potentiality and equipment capacity in the process of development of investment activities of air companies is discussed as well.

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of semi-structured interviews were conducted with 5 different professionals from Journalism and mass media to understand the new genres of online news media, challenges, and opportunities to work in the everchanging media landscape.
Abstract: This article refers to the brief history of the development of online media in Bangladesh starting from the beginnings of the Internet to the contemporary stage. Since 2006 Bangladeshi news organizations have been reshaping their strategy towards being a digital-only news outlet. News organizations are now using different features of mobile devices and social media to tell stories and engage with their target audiences. Today both the digital-only news outlets and mainstream media use QR codes, messengers, social media platforms, which enable them to reach a wider area of audiences. By using yet inexpensive digital tools journalists can easily create and distribute content for digital-only platforms. We consider digital-only platforms as new media, social media, and convergence media platforms. Social media platforms have provided the opportunity for traditional journalists to share news quickly, get feedback from the audience, and have two-way communication with the reader. Previous studies have looked at the genres of online journalism from a western perspective. Little has been done on the topic from the context of Bangladesh. In this article, we analyze the basic features of online news media that exist in contemporary Bangladesh and provide an account of the development trends. We outline the new genres, techniques, and use as a sample two most famous online news platforms: The Daily Star and bdnews24. A series of semi-structured interviews were conducted with 5 different professionals from Journalism and mass media. This study is based on both primary and secondary sources of qualitative data to understand the new genres of online news media, challenges, and opportunities to work in the ever-changing media landscape.

TL;DR: A transformation of the conventional single‐rail SOP synchronous logic into the dual‐rail asynchronous one operating under so‐called modified weak constraints is transformed and the product terms constraint is formulated and proved that ensures a correct logic behavior.
Abstract: We propose a method of the asynchronous sum-of-products SOP logic simplification that comprises of minimization and orthogonalization. The method is based on a transformation of the conventional single-rail SOP synchronous logic into the dual-rail asynchronous one operating under so-called modified weak constraints. We formulate and prove the product terms constraint that ensures a correct logic behavior. We have processed the MCNC benchmarks and generated the asynchronous SOP logic. The complexity of the logic obtained is compared with the state-of-the-art representation. Using our approach, we achieve a significant improvement. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

TL;DR: Research shows that using computer systems for both knowledge control and study (as opposed to knowledge control alone) increased knowledge level of all students, regardless of their overall performance.
Abstract: In this paper, learning and knowledge control systems developed by the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology of the Riga Technical University are described. These systems are used in teaching various subjects on different study programs and specialties. The paper also presents results of use of computer systems in student self-study and self-control. Students could freely choose, whether or not to use these systems during their studies. We focused on two scenarios of non-compulsory use of computer systems, namely with a motivating system or without one. In both cases students actively used computer systems for self-control and self-study. Our research shows that using computer systems for both knowledge control and study (as opposed to knowledge control alone) increased knowledge level of all students, regardless of their overall performance.
