TL;DR: The existence of two different Cantor sets, one contained in the set of Liouville numbers and the other inside the Diophantine numbers, is proved in this paper, and a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a Cantor set contained in a subset of the real line is given.

TL;DR: In this paper, from a political ecology and feminist technoscience perspective, how the participation of water grassroots movements in green infrastructure projects means the coproduction of sociotechnical imaginaries with public authorities, private companies or development agencies, the transformation of their initial territorial claims and the emergence of counterimaginaries by resisting actors.
Abstract: Coproducing imaginaries on water justice and green development in Ecuador Facing water injustices and extractivist policies, grassroots movements of the province of Imbabura, in the northern highlands of Ecuador, are seeking to participate in and benefit from green infrastructure projects Both the Pesillo-Imbabura regional drinking water project and the HidroIntag mini hydraulic plants project illustrate this trend However, grassroots movements often have to negotiate their initial claims in order to get involved in these projects To what extent the coproduction of sociotechnical imaginaries linked to green infrastructure projects transform water justice grassroots movements’ claims and strategies? What are the counterimaginaries that emerge at the margins of these modernizing pro-cesses?

TL;DR: FRvarPSO is a new method for obtaining classification rules, which operates on nominal and/or fuzzy attributes that combines LVQ, which is a supervised learning neural network, and uses a voting criterion, which affects the particle’s speed.
Abstract: FRvarPSO is a new method for obtaining classification rules, which operates on nominal and/or fuzzy attributes. It combines LVQ, which is a supervised learning neural network. The search is performed through an optimization technique such as varPSO, considered a metaheuristic based on particles clusters of variable population. Each individual represents a possible solution to the problem. The proposed method uses a voting criterion, which affects the particle’s speed. This method is benchmarked against PART and C4.5, on 12 databases of the UCI repository and three databases of financial institutions from Ecuador. The results obtained were satisfactory.

TL;DR: In this article, Valdivieso Salazar, Daisy Astrid, Aldrin Espín and Santiago Buenaño presented a methodology for forensic social assessment that determines the factors that affect violence and its consequence.
Abstract: Although the expert investigation determines the reasons that affect the condition of the person after the damage because of the crime, the investigation must be carried out with a specific methodology of sources that allow the expert to base his intervention, therefore, guide the judge objectively in the judicial 1 Doctora en Ciencias Internacionales, Profesora Titular en la Universidad Central del Ecuador, Ecuador: dagus36@yahoo.com 2 Magíster en Gerencia en Sistemas, Profesor Titular en la Universidad Central del Ecuador, Ecuador: Email: amespin@uce.edu.ec 3 Magíster en Ingeniería Industrial, Profesor Titular en la Universidad Central del Ecuador, Ecuador: sbuenanio@uce.edu.ec Forma sugerida de citar: Valdivieso Salazar, Daisy Astrid; Espín León, Aldrid Marcel y Buenaño Armas, Carlos Santiago. The methodology allows improving the process, reducing errors, avoiding biases in practice, reducing intervention times, scientific justification and non-revictimization; Bearing in mind that violence and robbery crimes against people in Ecuador will diminish before the year 2020, in addition, the professional obligation demands to debate on the scientific and technical function in forensic social assessment that determines the factors that affect violence and its consequence; the results will guide the judge to the restitution of a violated human right.

TL;DR: The theory of dessin d'enfants is naturally extended to non-compact orientable surfaces and, in particular, the Loch Ness monster (the surface of infinite genus with exactly one end) admits infinitely many regular DDFs (either chiral or reflexive) as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: The classical theory of dessin d'enfants, which are bipartite maps on compact orientable surfaces, are combinatorial objects used to study branched covers between compact Riemann surfaces and the absolute Galois group of the field of rational numbers. In this paper, we show how this theory is naturally extended to non-compact orientable surfaces and, in particular, we observe that the Loch Ness monster (the surface of infinite genus with exactly one end) admits infinitely many regular dessins d'enfants (either chiral or reflexive). In addition, we study different holomorphic structures on the Loch Ness monster, which come from homology covers of compact Riemann surfaces, infinite hyperelliptic and infinite superelliptic curves.
