01 Jan 2020TL;DR: A set-indexer of a graph G is an injective set-valuation f:V(G)→2x such that the induced set-value f ⊕:E(G),E(E)→ 2X on the edges of G defined by f⊕(uv)=f(u)⊚f(v) ∀uv∈E(g) is also injective, where ⊚ denotes the symmetric difference of the subsets of X as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A set-valuation of a graph G=(V,E) assigns to the vertices or edges of G elements of the power set of a given nonempty set X subject to certain conditions. A set-indexer of G is an injective set-valuation f:V(G)→2x such that the induced set-valuation f⊕:E(G)→2X on the edges of G defined by f⊕(uv)=f(u)⊕f(v) ∀uv∈E(G) is also injective, where ⊕ denotes the symmetric difference of the subsets of X. Set-valued graphs such as set-graceful graphs, topological set-graceful graphs, set-sequential graphs, set-magic graphs are discussed. Set-valuations with a metric, associated with each pair of vertices is defined as distance pattern distinguishing (DPD) set of a graph (open-distance pattern distinguishing set of a graph (ODPU)) is ∅≠M⊆V(G) and for each u∈V(G), fM(u)={d(u,v): v ε M} be the distance-pattern of u with respect to the marker set M. If fM is injective (uniform) then the set M is a DPD (ODPU) set of G and G is a DPD (ODPU)-graph. This chapter briefly reports the existing results, new challenges, open problems, and conjectures that are abound in this topic.

TL;DR: Both Glossobius auritus and G. hemiramphi are re-described based on the live and fresh specimens collected from India and all the available life cycle stages were considered for the re-description.
Abstract: Survey on cymothoids infesting the marine fishes from the Malabar Coast, India recorded two species (Glossobius auritus Bovallius 1885 and Glossobius hemiramphi Williams and Williams 1985), new to India and both appear with new host fish, Cypselurus oligolepis (Bleeker) for G. auritus and Hemiramphus lutkei (Valencinnes) for G. hemiramphi. In the present paper, both species are re-described based on the live and fresh specimens collected from India; Re-description of G. auritus is based on male and female stages, while all the available life cycle stages such as male, transitional, female, juvenile and larvae (manca and premanca) were considered for the re-description of G. hemiramphi. The occurrence, distribution, site specific infestation and fecundity of newly recorded Glossobius spp. are also discussed.

01 Jan 2019TL;DR: The different stages of VSR including the face and lip localization techniques and different visual feature extraction techniques are discussed and the details of audio-visual database related to this study are provided.
Abstract: In automatic speech recognition (ASR) visual speech information plays a pivotal role especially in the presence of acoustic noise. This paper provides a short review of the different methods for visual speech recognition systems (VSR). Here, we discuss the different stages of VSR including the face and lip localization techniques and different visual feature extraction techniques. We also provide the details of audio-visual database related to this study.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors have shown that heronry birds are adaptable to urbanisation by forcing animals to either adapt to it, emigrate or face extinction, and they have been found to be a major threat to biodiversity.
Abstract: Urbanisation is a major threat to biodiversity by forcing animals to either adapt to it, emigrate or face extinction. Wetland depended birds, and in particular heronry birds, are known to be adapte...
