18 Dec 1992TL;DR: In this article, an integrated heat sink module and a method of fabricating conductive structures on a substrate is presented. The method of the present invention includes cleaning a substrate material to remove any impurities present on the substrate surface.
Abstract: The present invention is an integrated heat sink module and a method of fabricating conductive structures on a substrate. The method of the present invention includes cleaning a substrate material to remove any impurities present on the substrate surface. The method further includes placing a protective layer resilient to chemicals used in conductive structure formation, on a first surface. The first surface is opposite a second surface on which conductive structures are formed. The method includes forming conductive structures on the second surface of the substrate. The protective layer is then removed from the first surface of the substrate.

01 Mar 1988TL;DR: In this article, a case-hardened steel plate (14,18) is described, which is made from either rolled homogenous or high-hard steel plate with a final core hardness in the range of 52 to 54 on the Rockwell C scale.
Abstract: Case-hardened plate armor disclosed includes a steel plate (14,18) that is heat treated to provide carbonitride surfaces and a tough, ductile core, with the carbonitride surfaces having a toughness of at least 66, and preferably at least 67, on the Rockwell C scale to prevent surface penetration, and with the tough, ductile core being softer than the carbonitride surfaces to prevent brittle fracture. The steel plate (14,18) may be made from either rolled homogenous armor which has a final core hardness in the range of 45 to 50 on the Rockwell C scale, or from high-hard armor which has a final core hardness in the range of 52 to 54 on the Rockwell C scale. The steel plate may be made with holes or may be imperforate depending upon weight requirements. The case-hardening of the steel plate is performed by heating in an atmosphere of nitrogen and carbon, quenching of the heated steel plate, thereafter tempering the quenched steel plate, deep freezing of the tempered steel plate, and subsequently again tempering the steel plate after the deep freezing to provide the hard carbonitride surfaces and the softer but tougher and more ductile core.

12 Dec 1988TL;DR: In this paper, a PLL demodulator is used to convert the RF carrier to a very low frequency and incorporates an imageless spectrum analyzer, which allows the IF to be AC coupled.
Abstract: A receiver which converts the RF carrier to a very low frequency and incorporates a PLL demodulator which allows the IF to be AC coupled. This PLL demodulator does not include the IF filters. The bandwidth of the PLL demodulator is wide enough to demodulate FM. Also, components of the receiver can be switched to a transmission mode capable of FM or PSK modulation with a simple circuit. Finally, the receiver includes an AM or PSK coherent amplitude detector which is modified into an imageless spectrum analyzer.
