TL;DR: In this article, the normal and anomalous self-energies in cuprate superconductors are analyzed within the framework of the kinetic-energy-driven superconductivity, and it is shown that the exchanged spin excitations give rise to the well-pronounced low-energy peak-structures in both the normal self-energy and anomaly self energy, however, they do not cancel in the total self energy.
Abstract: The recently deduced normal and anomalous self-energies from photoemission spectra of cuprate superconductors via the machine learning technique are calling for an explanation. Here the normal and anomalous self-energies in cuprate superconductors are analyzed within the framework of the kinetic-energy-driven superconductivity. It is shown that the exchanged spin excitations give rise to the well-pronounced low-energy peak-structures in both the normal and anomalous self-energies, however, they do not cancel in the total self-energy. In particular, the peak-structure in the normal self-energy is mainly responsible for the peak-dip-hump structure in the single-particle excitation spectrum, and can persist into the normal-state, while the sharp peak in the anomalous self-energy gives rise to a crucial contribution to the superconducting gap, and vanishes in the normal state. Moreover, the evolution of the peak structure with doping and momentum are also analyzed.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of spin state transition induced by proton removal on the spin-polarized transport properties of molecular junctions incorporating cobalt heme analogs was investigated.
Abstract: By applying nonequilibrium Green's functions in combination with the density functional theory, we investigate the effect of the spin state transition induced by proton removal on the spin-polarized transport properties of molecular junctions incorporating cobalt heme analogs. Our study demonstrates that there is a drastic change in the resistance values when the spin state transition of cobalt heme analogs is triggered. As a consequence, a significant magnetoresistance of up to ∼764% is observed. Moreover, a transition from negative magnetoresistance to positive magnetoresistance is also observed when the bias potential applied in the molecular junctions is tuned. Our results may be helpful for developing the interdisciplinary field of molecular protonics and spintronics.

TL;DR: A novel model called PADLMHOOI was proposed to predict potential associations between diseases and lncRNA-miRNA pairs based on the higher-order orthogonal iteration, and in order to evaluate its prediction performance, the global and local LOOCV were implemented and simulation results demonstrated that PAD LMHOOi could achieve reliable AUCs.
Abstract: A lot of research studies have shown that many complex human diseases are associated not only with microRNAs (miRNAs) but also with long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs). However, most of the current existing studies focus on the prediction of disease-related miRNAs or lncRNAs, and to our knowledge, until now, there are few literature studies reported to pay attention to the study of impact of miRNA-lncRNA pairs on diseases, although more and more studies have shown that both lncRNAs and miRNAs play important roles in cell proliferation and differentiation during the recent years. The identification of disease-related genes provides great insight into the underlying pathogenesis of diseases at a system level. In this study, a novel model called PADLMHOOI was proposed to predict potential associations between diseases and lncRNA-miRNA pairs based on the higher-order orthogonal iteration, and in order to evaluate its prediction performance, the global and local LOOCV were implemented, respectively, and simulation results demonstrated that PADLMHOOI could achieve reliable AUCs of 0.9545 and 0.8874 in global and local LOOCV separately. Moreover, case studies further demonstrated the effectiveness of PADLMHOOI to infer unknown disease-related lncRNA-miRNA pairs.

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors compared the relationship between the WPSH and summer precipitation in Dongting Lake basin (24°35′-30°27′N, 107°13′-114°18′E) based on different datasets by employing the multivariate regression analysis.
Abstract: The Western Pacific Subtropical High (WPSH) is a principal component of the East Asian summer monsoon system. This study was to compare the relationship between the WPSH and summer precipitation in Dongting Lake basin (24°35′-30°27′N, 107°13′-114°18′E) based on different datasets by employing the multivariate regression analysis. The observed precipitation data was from China Meteorological Data (CMD) sharing service system and the six gridded precipitation datasets were CFSR, ERA–Interim, CMAP, GPCP, CRU, and PREC/L, respectively. The WPSH exerted different influences on the precipitation of summer months. The indexes including westward extension ridge point index and northern boundary index in June, ridge line index and northern boundary index in July and August had important effect on the precipitation over Dongting Lake Basin. The gridded data could generally reproduce the relationship between the ridge line index and precipitation in July. The relationship between the northern boundary and the precipitation from gridded data was similar to that from observed data in June and July, while the relationship between the western extension ridge index and the precipitation in June could be reproduced by the gridded data except CFSR and ERA-Interim. Only in part area, the relationship between the intensity index and the CMD precipitation could be reproduced by gridded precipitation. The fitness of correlation in some area from the CMD could be reproduced by the gridded data. General speaking, GPCP precipitation data was more applicable to the Dongting Lake Basin in studying on the relationship between the precipitation and a single index of WPSH.
